On the early access registration page, it clearly states you are registering for a chance at getting into early access. There history with mobile releases (ES: Legends) suggests a lottery. Either way, it’s too bad it got bumped I was counting the days.
Oh, I’m not questioning the likelihood of a lottery system. I’m questioning your implication that it has already started to happen and that everything is going as planned. Everything indicates that there has been NO early access for pre-registered players as of yet, which was the point of my initial post.
Blades hasn’t had early access or any beta yet. The early access will be by “chance” but it hasn’t happened yet. So far the only gameplay has been the demo at different events. Like PAX West on the 31st-1st is going to have a playable demo. Also the AppStore’s exspected date switched from September 1st to September 7th earlier. It’s irritating it was changed 2 days before the 1st! I want to play this so bad! Been counting down the days! Hopefully the early access starts soon! Its possible it could happen on the 1st at the end of PAX West. Fallout Shelter launched at the end of E3 2015.
You think they could push it back to sept 12th, and launch it at the Apple event? Like the did with games in past?
* Touch Arcade News - PAX West 2018: Tons of Games Heading to Mobile and Other Platforms - by Jared Nelson https://toucharcade.com/2018/09/04/pax-west-2018-upcoming-mobile-games/ Elder Scrolls: Blades So what the heck is going on with Elder Scrolls: Blades? After Bethesda announced the mobile-centric entry in their legendary RPG series back at E3 in June, the game showed up for pre-order with a September 1st release date. As that date approached the pre-order page switched things up at the last minute and changed the date to September 7th. Then at a Bethesda event we attended at PAX this weekend, on the day it was SUPPOSED to have launched, the Blades presence was relegated to the exact same demo they were showing back at E3. Hmmmmmm. My guess is that they really did intend for it to launch on the 1st during PAX, but something happened and it wasn’t quite ready so they scrambled to make sure it still had a showing at PAX by just putting out that same E3 demo. We played though it and it’s fine, but all of our questions we had after E3 will likely remain unanswered until the actual full version releases, either this coming Friday or whenever Bethesda decides it’s finished.
Not surprised. Well, a bit surprised with how far it has been pushed back. Stupidity to even have it up for pre-order if you’re just gonna push the release date around. It could very well now be pushed to 2019 so my suggestion would be to just stop waiting for it. Didn’t expect this from Bethesda.
Maybe the early access might be this year though. Not really gonna trust them for now on though. If it releases then I’ll believe that it’s out I’m not gonna trust the release dates anymore.
I know it’s meantioned that this is free to play but why have a pre-order system for a free to play game?
I just re-read the app store description... it says it's launching as invite only (in December), which makes me think that if you haven't signed up for pre-release, you won't even be able to play it when the app becomes available in December.
With no beta or any news yet, the odds of this making a December 1 launch (24 days from now) seem to be low.
