Already pre-ordered. A quick unsolicited piece of marketing advice: you may want to remove the name from the app icon. It’s not standard practice and it makes the game seem cheap and slapdash (and from what we’ve see here, it’s anything but). Also, you should add the trailer to the AppStore app page — video can do a lot to sway people on the fence. Finally, I don’t think the app description is doing you any favors. First, the unique use of “dioramas” is not really coming through when you call this a “first person point and click.” Also, the “a story of love and loss” line from the trailer does a much better job of letting you know what to expect than the 2nd person narration text. It’s good to set the mood, but someone considering a purchase wants to know what the game is about and what to expect in the gameplay. Looking forward to the release. Best of luck!
We've been making games for 10 years and trust me we're still pretty terrible at this stuff so any advice, on marketing or just generally being functioning adults, is always very welcome! Simon's going to have a look into the app preview videos today and I'm going to have a few rums* and take another go at the app store description and see what happens. Edit: Oh and forgot to say, thank you for the pre-order! Really apprecaite it! *Please write app store descriptions responsibly.
Just a reminder that the game is coming out on the 12th! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/another-tomorrow/id1525569733 We've updated the App Store description as well as added previews but due to limitations with Apple we can't actually release the updated store page as it would in fact release the game early ( due to it being a pre-order ). So for now here is the updated store description: A story of love and loss, Another Tomorrow is a single-player mystery where you take photos and solve puzzles. Another Tomorrow is a puzzle adventure that seamlessly blends intricately rendered dioramas with first person exploration and puzzle solving. The dioramas provide a superb overview of every scene and the first-person views allow you to climb deep into the gritty world to which you have awoken. Trapped without your memories but equipped with a camera you’ll explore abandoned apartments, airfields, temples, and underground facilities to search for clues, solve puzzles, and unlock secrets to answer the question; who are you? – Your head’s pounding, your body cold. The air is ripe with something all too familiar. Blood. The odour is unmistakable. But there’s something else. Something sweet but medicinal, an intoxifying cocktail of brown sugar, ethanol, and disinfectant. It hurts to open your eyes, the lights are bright but it’s not that. Moving hurts, like you haven’t moved in a long time. Questions racing through your mind; where are you, how long have you been here, what the fork is that taste? – Glitch Games is a tiny independent ‘studio’ from the UK. Oh and I forgot to say, there is a demo on Itch and Steam if anyone's interested in checking it out ( Apple doesn't allow demos on the store otherwise it'd be on there too, but you'll be able to export your game save from it to the iOS version should you want to continue playing ).
