Thank you for the question! The IAPs is only to accelerate the progression like upgrade more faster the equipment but it's not necessary. Of course, there are one IAP called "Premium Pack" to remove the ads (ads is only to revive one time when you die, nothing intrusive) and give a certain amount of gold for users that want an experience like a premium game.
