Clan N is a beat'em up game which combines the classic arcades gameplay with today's modern brawlers. With a fast paced nature, you have to dodge, block and use your light, heavy and special attacks wisely to progress. With an ancient far east theme, you'll get challenged across 7 different levels with many different enemies and Mid/End level bosses.

    Features :

    - A fast paced beatemup which combines the classic arcades gameplay with today's modern brawlers.
    - A main story with 7 levels divided into more than hundreds of sections.
    - Can be played coop with up to 4 bot players.
    - A slick and clean pixel based graphics with accompanying far east inspired music and sfx.

    Who is Clan N

Clan N is an ancient samurai group in the region of “Far East”, sworn to protect the realm from all who seek its destruction. The four group members consist of the shinobigatana-wielding ninja Akira, the staff-striking Reina, the dual sword-swinging Daiki, and the sickle-slashing monk Tarou.

After years of training and dedication to their respective craft, each character has uncovered their own unique magical abilities. Akira shoots pulse-filled lightning bolts, Reina controls the ground with vicious earthquake shocks, Daiki swirls up brutal tornado waves, and Tarou can call for the help of Dragons.

    Story

Akuji is a former samurai of the Clan N that discovered the balance of the world lies in three areas: Peace, Knowledge, and Time. Akuji found that if you knock the world of one of these, you can harness the powers of “spiritual imbalance” and grow stronger from it. As a result of pursuing spiritual imbalance, he was shunned from the samurai temple and kicked out of Clan N.

What Akuji didn’t know was that attaining spiritual imbalance would not only give you dark powers, it consumed your light and the purity of your life. Following his banishment from the temple and Clan N, Akuji was able to destroy peace by slaughtering villages and retain the power of those he killed, thus absorbing conflict and electric sorcery abilities, becoming the most powerful sorcerer warrior in the Far East. While he continued to grow, Akuji formed Seishin Gun, the spirit group, to join his conquest and remove anyone standing in their path.

Once his actions were discovered by Clan N, they set on a journey to stop the villainous pillaging by Akuji and Seishin Gun.

    About the Characters

Reina and Daiki grew as siblings in a southern samurai clan. Reina was not taught the teaching of the clan like her brother Daiki but still observed and learned the ways mastering the staff. She eventually took onto Shamanism as well becoming one of the first shinobi shamans in the land as a young woman.

Akira was a childhood friend adopted into the clan as a lost child wandering in the outer lands chased by a pack of wolves, barely making it to the village. Daiki’s father took the child in and raised them, although Akira typically covers himself from head to after severe scarring.

Tarou was from the same monastery as Akuji (prior to his joining of Clan N) and learned under the same teachers. Akuji returned to the Monk’s temple many years later and stole an ancient scroll that explained how to destroy the pillars of balance and extract their spiritual imbalance. In pursuit of Akuji, Tarou traced his steps to Clan N. After explaining the situation to the existing three members, they all decided to team up and take down Akuji.

    Thank you! :)

    Controller support is available!

In the original Console/PC release, the score you earn through the game is used to upgrade your character features such as speed, power, etc. so we'll offer these to be obtained through a virtual currency where you can buy if you like, but not mandatory. We'll also show some ads in between the levels/sections and might include a "no-ads" purchase as well!

Oh, by the way, if you pre-order you'll get extra life as a bonus, still doesn't show up in the store descriptions somehow  so wanted to mention in here!

    Howdy Gamers!

Hope everybody is well? We have a little news to share with you :

In short, we are postponing the release to January 2021 instead of this Christmas time. We decided that we need a little bit more time to ensure that everything works as expected on the mobile version so this small delay was necessary.

Please accept our apologies, stay safe and keep gaming! Oh, have a great holiday as well!

Does this mean that you can play co-op with 3 friends, OR 3 bot players? Or is it just up to 3 bots as companions?

Initially, there'll be only bot players as your companions. We already have 4 player co-op on Console/PC version (even online co-op) but due to different play style and options on mobile (touch/gamepad), we want to figure out the most proper way for it's implementation before adding this feature.

We would like to present the following statement for the incident occurred today :

    Fellow Gamers,

We would like to offer our deepest apologies to you as today a wrong version of Clan N has been released in error which was submitted to start the pre-order and is not representative of the release version with missing a lot of things starting with a how to play tutorial.
We removed it immediately once we noticed that and the actual release is a week to two away so we kindly would like to ask you to omit if you already downloaded it and wait for the release with all the enhancements we made for the mobile version, thank you!

On the other hand, we'll start providing pieces of information regarding the mobile version features through this thread in every day or two up to the release, so stay tuned and keep your eyes around here! ;)

    Cheers...

    Howdy Gamers,

As promised, let's start sharing some usefull features/information while we are closing up to the release! In this first post, we decided to talk about the controls...

Clan N supports both GamePad and Touch based controls. On GamePad, you use the left stick to move your character with the right one to tumble/dodge. There're light/heavy attack buttons as well as jump and throw shuriken/knife. Additionally, you use right bumper to block the incoming attacks and left bumper to fire your magic attack. All these are teached to you in the tutorial section which you play at the beginning of the game.

On the Touch side, we decided to opt for a more touch friendly move/swipe/tap based two thumb mechanic rather than just overlaying a gamepad layout into the screen which would not be suitable to the fast paced gameplay we provide. In this scenario, you use your right thumb to move your character and with the release/swipe, you attack. As a helper, you get attack combos done automatically depending on your hit count. If you just tap the screen with your right thumb you throw a shuriken/knife. With your left thumb, if you just touch the screen this allows you to block the oncoming attacks and the swipe gesture allows you to dodge/tumble. Apart these, we only have 2 more dedicated buttons, which you can see from the screenshot above, to make our character jump and fire a magic attack (actually 3 if you count the pause button as well). These are all teached again in the tutorial level with virtual thumb animations and it feels pretty natural once you get used to it. :)

That's all for now in this post so until the next one, be safe and keep gaming...

Hmmm i would have to test the controls. I've got over 1000 games on my phone and 99.9% always have the left side for movement so for it to sound like the reverse would be quite strange. Would rather it be the reverse, you move with your left hand/finger/thumb rather than the other way

As you say the gamepad works that way and i would expect the touchscreen to be like that as well

No worries, you can reverse this thumb layout from the settings ;). On GamePad, you use your left thumb to move and right thumb to tap on attack buttons but on touch, since both attack and move is tied into the same thumb, right felt more natural to me so I choose to put this layout as default.

Still, I might change the default layout on the release, we'll see...:D

    Hello Everybody,

Well, Today I had planned to to give you the great news till this hour that the game is finally out but it seems Apple is reluctant to show it in the store (ready for sale in the last 6 hours) so at the moment, I just want to let you know that it's coming, hopefully sometime today! :) It's already out on Android side with overwhelmingly positive reaction apart some complaints regarding the non-traditional controls but will handle that by implementing the traditional virtual gamepad option as well.

On the other hand, the game got delayed significantly because of some real life issue I had so apologies in that regard as well!

Nevertheless, I hope to come back later to announce it's availability and till that time, stay tuned!
