@Rocksaint I don’t really care about battery life as I’m gaming on iPad at home mostly, so I’m pretty much always near the power source if necessary. What I do care is performance of the game. It’s also the only reason I didn’t pre-ordered right away. I’ll be waiting for some impressions first, although this sentence from PG article brought at least some assurance already: “I generally didn't encounter any bugs or major stability issues when playing on a 2019 iPad.” So, we’ll see.
Yeah, even I'm thinking of holding off for some impressions after release. I am also skeptical about the overall performance. It's not about the location or power source for me. Since I am on an iPhone X, I don't wanna damage my battery in the long run due to prolonged heating of the device while playing. But then again, there are not a lot of iOS games I am playing currently. So really looking forward this one as a quality experience.
@Rocksaint I otherwise wouldn’t be suspicious about the performance but they showcased the game on brand new iPhone 11 Pro only yet. So first I want to see how older devices can handle it. Because the promotional screenshots and showcasing the game at 60fps on A13 chip are one thing, real performance and actual visual quality are the other.
Exactly. And since not everyone owns the latest devices with the top notch hardware, it'll be interesting to see how the game runs and looks visually on a wider range of devices.
Okay 15 minutes in, quite engaging so far. I'm using iPhone X, and the device is reasonably warm, not boiling up AFAIK. The game is automatically set at ultra graphics, though there is an option for iphone 11 graphics. The game runs at 60fps for me, buttery smooth, combat seems okay, you can lock in an enemy in combat with an onscreen button. So far, good experience
