New trade in version 0.9 Cities The player-city and colonies removed from the diplomacy menu. Player could access colonies via world map. Greece and Europe maps are now have 10 independent cities/regions. Space from colonies and player-city used for additional information about the city. Each city received an additional unique historical feature. Besides the Type of the city, all cities have the following properties: - Character of the city: for example, Sparta "is famous for its warriors" and Knossos "is known for its ancient culture." - Alliance bonus: the player gets the bonus when he is in alliance with the city, for example, for the alliance with Knossos player will get free Envoy every 20 turns. - War bonus: for example, if player attacks the Sparta, for each victory he get, he will receive a 20% bonus to army strength (multiple times) - Trade bonus: bonus that player gets, when conclude trade deals. For example, some city can improve relations and rise it up to maximum without any diplomatic actions. - Need - the type of goods that the city is looking for and ready to pay a higher cost. - Offer - the type of goods in abundance and city will sell it cheaply. As you can see, many different opportunities will allow us to build up the winning strategy in developing right relations with other cities. Choose your friends and your enemies depending on the situation. For example, player could just start trading with other city, wait until the city becomes friendlier and conclude alliance without any gifts. Alternatively, player could betray some cities and get both bonuses: for alliance and for war. We also reworked the Trade system. Now the player can spend traders to establish new trade routes and manage ships for each city. The ship management is similar to the worker management in the city mode. You can buy goods from those who have it in abundance, and sell to those who need it, profiting on each step. You can send the merchants to the different cities and get different trade bonuses, or you can choose the one city and spend all your traders to improve prices in the same city and get maximum revenue with minimal costs. Furthermore, you could regulate the development of other cities through the trade possibilities. Buying all slaves or warriors in the city that has bad relationships with you, could greatly slow down the development of the chosen city. Conversely, you can strengthen the friendly city providing it with extra population or warriors.
This looks amazing! will there be any kid of campaign mode where you go out and fight other civilizations?
Rin1221 Yes! One of the main goals is to conquere the whole known world (for chosen period of the real history you could change). rich_952000 Thanks, got it!
I'm just checking in I have 8.01 and a new iPad air2 64gig to try it on. This will be used to record video of the game I mention to you before. I should add look for bone swiper on the new game forums I did a beta video of that game using the flight test build
Just discovered that my feedback post from waaaay back didn't actually post... Sorry about that! For starters I really enjoyed the game and managed to survive quite a while (until the tribes invaded with a billion troops) up until that point everything seemed fairly achievable although for much of the game it felt I was playing catchup. Playing as Athens I found that I got attacked an awful lot by other cities as I never quite managed to gain enough money to unlock the diplomatic people in time to ally up. Other than this it's beautiful.
