You must be desparate... posting twice on slidetoplay forums too. :D

I found game play to be torturous. Slow and uninteresting with almost little repeat play value for me. I found myself wanting to scream stop with the idiotic dialogue screens. I just want to play the game.

Purchased, played with it for a bit and is now off my phone - most likely permanently.

    That should say enough.

Hmm...why such wildly disparate reviews? ...hard to get a true handle here.

@wastedyuthe: Many thanks for the hint. I read the review and afterwards I bought the game.

I Have to say this is a fantastic game. Ok in the beginning the boats are slow, but if you earned some money and did some upgrades, the game gets awesome.

So It seems I'm totally on the other side than iago, but heh everyone has its own taste.

For example, I found Kroll the most disappointing game! OK, the graphics looks fantastic, but the gameplay really sucks. The hype around the game remembers me of the game "Aquanox". Maybe someone remembers this game. It was also a fantastic looking game, but the gameplay was so boring. I finished Kroll in about 30 minutes. And there is no reason for me to play it again.

I played Powerboat Challenge for about 5 hours now, and I'm about half way through the game. So that is what I call reasonable price. For 4 bucks I get 10 hours of entertainment.

A found it to be a great game! at first the boats are slow no doubt...but once you buy upgrades it's all sorted out. The main thing is that it feels like a real boat. Making sharp turns is impossible, breaking is sluggish which adds to a powerboat feel. it is very challenging...especially the last island and the buoys are very well placed. A fine demonstration of what the iPhone/iPod can do graphically. My rating 3 and a half out of 5
