    Full agreement.

    Honestly, this plays how I had hoped Table Tennis Touch would. Not that TT is a bad game per se it is just very difficult, for me.

    I'm glad I decided to take a peek in this thread despite Chillingo being in the title, the game seems to be promising.

    Quite astounding how polished the game is, in fact. It's a beast!

    I haven't been able to make up my mind on the game yet. I mean, I don't think I have anything to complain about, but clocking in at almost 800 MB, I don't know if it's a permanent keeper since (already mentioned a couple of times) it does feel a little samey. The thing is, you're never short of things to do. I love the fact that the various modes make it feel like completely different games in different areas, but is there more to the game in the end than just unlocking new paddles? Do they change the gameplay up drastically?

    Pretty fun stuff. Just don't feel the power I felt in touch table tennis or whatever it was. Cool modes also in it's behalf.

    woah I was just about to buy this but I'm glad I read your comment first, I don't have the space for 800mb.
    guess I'll have to pass. shame because it looks good.
    I'm sick of buying games lately tho that are huge file sizes and then I have to delete them for space. so I'm sticking to small file sizes for now.

    I keep looking at this because I use to play some simple pong types split screen with my fiancée and there really aren't that many split screen or even same device games on iOS so it is tempting but it seems a lot to pay for what I keep reading is quite a simple game

    Does that mean the end edge or a side edge?

    Simple? Ha!

    There is a campaign mode made up of 5 different Cups, each with 4 matches in them. They function sorta like Cups in Mario Kart. There are 3 normal matches then a Boss Match in each.

    Then, there is a Survival Mode made up with a Jetpack Joyride style mission system.

    Then for multiplayer there are random online matches through Game Center as well as Head to Head over same device multiplayer.

    On top of all this, there is legitimate Skill Tress for the different Special Abilities you can earn during a match (earned by bouncing the ball in a special sorts of "targets" that appear on the table at random. This is persistent through Survival and Campaign/Arcade mode. I'd have to double check for multiplayer.

    Also, there are over 10 different paddles to unlock, each with their own different set of stats.

    And in-game, you can perform spin shots as well as special power shots that require you to swipe certain ways to activate them.

    It does look good watching a video now, how accurate are the gestures? Also anyone played split screen on an air2 that can give feedback to if its a comfortable play for 2

    Just seems like no matter how hard I swipe it doesn't effect my shot power like it did in touch table tennis. Still an ultra cool game in its own rite, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Sorry for the comparisons but ttc is rlly all I have to compare it to. Also, tough ai.

    I believe your swipe needs to start further away for the shot power to be hard, and not only the speed of the swipe.

    I am showing as number 1 in game center in Survival Hits with only 126 hits, while everyone else in the top leaderboard only has 99hits. Im thinking GC may be messing up, or not a lot of players tried survival yet, and those 99s are mostly hacks?

    This is a bug, for me it's showing everyone else as 99 and me ranked at 1 with 165 hits.

    I wonder if those survival scores above 1 billion are real.

    Just hit 4 aces (side of the table) in a match

    1ace=+25x multiplier
    2aces=+50x
    3aces and onwards=+75x max

    When you hit 3 aces you unlock
    the achievement "you beat Sensei" and the Sacred Staff -2 size, +3 spin, +3 power.
