Please post back as I'm over my iOS spending cap for the next two years but this looks as though it could be a "must have".
Liking this, in broad terms. But I seem to be missing a lot of shits for no apparent reason - even when sometimes I appear to've swiped *right* through the ball. Doing far better atm when I stick to mundane shots and don't try owt too adventurous. Which is a shame!
Haha. Yea, I've blown quite a bit last night and today too. Right, so I gave it a go and so far I'm loving it. Love the art style, the power-ups, the whole Kung Fu theme. It's an awesome title. I played on my iPhone 6 and had no issues. It was a little tough getting used to the depth of the table, but after I played a little, I got pretty good at it. I'm downloading it on my iPad Air 2 right now. I imagine the game is a little easier with the bigger screen, so we'll see. Controls were excellent. It's pretty much swiping like most ping pong games. You've got swipes in all directions. Your really feel like you have control over the ball. I gotta hand it to the devs. They did a great job on controls. I'd say my favorite part is the whole Kung Fu theme. The game doesn't take itself so serious with power-ups and crazy opponents, but it still controls like it could be a serious game. There's a bunch of things to buy, a bunch of enemies to play against, tournament, arcade, and Multiplayer (which I can't wait to check out!) It's got a good amount of content for the price. Now, is this a "MUST HAVE" for me? Do I dare put my stamp of approval on it?? I'm gonna go ahead and say that if you like the screenshots and the app description, then this game won't disappoint. It's it a "must have"? I don't know yet, but it definitely gets a recommendation from me. I'm sure if your over budget right now, it's probably not going to hurt you to wait a week or so.
Have completed the first couple of arcade rounds and unlocked a couple of bats. It's all feeling fine, but a bit samey. Not yet swept off my feet - tbh, I've enjoyed my brief sojourn with survival mode more. Multiplayer appears to be broken ATM. Phone on my lap has been auto seeking an opponent for ten mins. No joy yet!
Agree with previous posts! I found game to be buggy quite a bit too. One example - I'm on iPhone 6 but this message popped up after one of the wins:
I found that when I didn't take my iPad into the toilet with me I never missed one again. Getting the swipe right helps too.
This looks right up my alley! Price point seems a little high but getting it anyway. Been waiting for a good ping pong game since... Wii sports resort haha.
So I still haven't bought this yet, but I would like to know how this game compares to TT by Yakuto. Not that I don't like TT, but the ball physics feel..stiff to me.
I love that game but I wish there's an option to slice the ball and play defensive like Joo Se-hyuk. This game should include that option by changing the lob to slice. There is no benefit to lobbing the ball (swiping down), while slicing the ball can and should make the opponent hit the net.
I just played through the first tournament. The game is nicely polished and the graphics are really good. The gameplay also works, but it all seems a little bit slow to me so far. The first few opponents were quite easy, but the boss was already a bit challenging. I'll have to play some more to find out about the impact of different paddles, stronger powerups etc. Right now I'll give this game 4 stars
