:-o, wave 8 without using upgrades? You're good! The upgrades are different for each spell. For instance, you get a lot more charges if you cast an upgraded stance, and upgraded fireball throws 5 fireballs instead of 3.
Without a doubt this is an essential pick up for this week, especially at 99¢. Roguelike arena?! So gooood, I can't stop playing, high score is 31 so far. I keep getting cornered by spear dudes in the eighth wave and getting clobbered.
Great game. I love the spell mechanic. Excellent companion to Amber Hall. Any plans for a daily challenge? That is what brings me back to Amber Hall again and again.
It is a roguelike as well, but this one is based on spells. No plans yet. There are a couple of technical difficulties that make a daily quest a lot harder to implement in this game. I'm considering it though.
Love power grounds. I think it's a perfect companion to amber halls. They both have somethjng the other lacks. You're a great developer, and deserve this cult following!
As you progress you collect more of the nine power tiles and there are more + different types of enemies. Ranged archer and fast moving spear dudes that also kind of act as sentries guarding lanes.
Here is a nice review by 148 Apps. Sadly they didn't mention the challenge offered by the game's achievements.
I just downloaded the PC version, and WOW! This game is super fun. It looks like the iOS version is even better. Good work! Question: Do the achievements show up on Game Center or are they local to the game (a la Hoplite)?
Noticed some annoyingly blatant typos. I should really hire a new editor So do you have any plans for your next game, maybe sticking with roguelikes or more like your previous puzzle games?
I'm working on 2 games right now. I still don't know if I'll ever publish any of those. One is a puzzle platformer that looks like New Journey but is a lot less confusing. The other one is a roguelike a little bit different from Amber and PG. It is less linear and more complex (with resources and upgrades). Both of them are still on the early stages of development.
