i can't install GEM inside PowerDOS, i've tried both install and autoexec commands in the main dir (both new after update), but the first one gave me a command error, and the second one a "set blaster=A220..." have you already installed it?
I haven't installed it. I've just ran it from that folder Just want something which auto runs so I don't have to try typing on that tiny keyboard on my phone. Love the games you can install. Just getting there to run them is the pain !!
Just run it from that GEM folder... there is no install needed. modify the autoexec.bat file to start GEM.. works perfect..
Anyone know if it is possible to move a folder or transfer via USB to the internal D: or even Z: drive. I have a game that needs to be installed before it will run but it says the input and output drive cannot be the same when I go through the installer. I tried making a separate empty folder for it on C: but it won't have it. I'm amazed that after all thee years I can still remember some of the basic dos prompt commands I tinkered with GEM and its a bit glitchy but pretty cool, though it seems to take up memory so some games won't start up that do work when just going from the prompt (including the installer I mention above, which is AV8B Harrier Assault). Advice from the DOS pros here would be much appreciated!
There is a folder called TOOLS in that folder is a GEM folder Modify the autoexec.bat Add c:\tool\gem\gemxx.exe (don't know from the top of my head) and next time it starts right in the program. You can either edit the autoexec.bat by copying it to the PC / modify and save it back on your device. or install an text editor in Dos and use that
not for me I Have a DOS / GAMES / TOOLS and Windows folder Windows gets created after you run the GEM program
Ok is I downloaded the dos box , loaded it up and then dled the ifunbox uploaded daggerfall from my computer to Dropbox, downloaded it and put it in my phone, now when I go to run the odd box app and switch to the game It can't find it it says unable to change to dagger help pls

Looks like several of the past questions on here have to do with mounting directories correctly. Haven't played with DOSBox MOUNT on iOS at all, though you can get a basic idea by typing "mount" in DOSBox, then perhaps put your install files elsewhere under Documents and then "MOUNT {drive_letter} {directory_name}"
i've successfully put back the 1.0 ipa on iTunes (can see it in list) to reinstall it (the update has all this new useless stuff that takes 100+ mb), but then can't see it in the list of installable apps... any tip?
Did this get pulled? I don't see it in the App Store anymore. It's still in my purchased section though.
?? There is no password on it. just unzip it in dos works just fine.. btw. it's just all the items that are unpacked are in that Archive.. I didn't see a difference
Grabbed this on a whim. My experience with dos was plunking around on my neighbor's computer as a kid, but I learned the bare basics. If I can just get Wizardry 7 on my iPad, I'll be in heaven. e: holy crap. I followed this to the letter but got "Daggerfall has detected the error 0." I'll try a reinstall, but any ideas as to what might be up? e2: Ahh, think I got the pathing wrong in z.cfg. Going to try this again.
