addendum from me testing this: works fine if you put it into airplane mode if you have cloud sync off. Otherwise progress will be lost. I'm sorry you got set back, man.

 

My cloud sync is on just to protect my save so I guess I'm not trying airplane mode. It's weird how the game launched working perfectly and is just getting worse and worse now. Have they completely shut down its server or something?

It's a shame though as you said if the game does stick out in the App Store people will delete it and leave bad reviews if it's not working.

 

Oh that's just great.
Just read that this is the Game of the Week and so I immediately installed it and it just crashes on my iPad Pro and iPhone 6.
Perhaps it should have been Dud of the Week. #

 

Trying to load game and play it but to crashes and boots me back to my folder (where I placed it). Tried around 5 times with same results. It's the unplayable GOTW for me. =]

 

Yeah, was working fine for me a few hours ago and now crashes on load. Dumped a bunch of time in already, and if my progress gets reset, I'm not doing it all again, unfortunately. Great game otherwise!

 

strange, i have my iCloud sync ON, and i lose nothing.

 

I downloaded it yesterday and it was working great. Makes me sad that people are having so many issues today, because it is a really wonderful little game.

 

So what happens with my IAP?

 

Same, airplane works fine for me. Hope they fix the servers soon!

 

Yeah, bummer about the technical issues. Hopefully it'll get fixed this coming week, though I'd hate to think these poor devs came in on the weekend after a big launch. Humans need sleep.

 

Anyone with could sync turned on used airplane mode and not lost their progress? I imagine it'll come back once it's all up and running again anyway but there's no point in me doing it if I can't continue from where I was with airplane mode off.

For those of you downloading because it's game of the week, the game is awesome and worked perfectly. The Dev is just having issues because the game is so much more popular than they thought it would be.

 

Starting it in airplane mode worked for me. I did not lose any progress.

Airplane mode also worked for me, actually restored my levels that looked lost when looking at apps running in the background.

 

Possibly a bit hasty there mate. It's only been down a few hours. Not like they kicked your dog or something.

Not really. No sense using up space on a device when you can't even play it
