Nice, I'm doing the same as well.. just in case things go to hell I can pinpoint where i dropped the ball
I agree, excellent thread Here's a few early pics of Spirit: Final pic of Spirit HD (just finished today):
Before and after in Blood & Honor Hi everybody: This was an early screen from our game Blood & Honor. And here it is now (this is from the update that should come out soon) And iPad version
Here are some from The Impossible Test. It was originally called iPossible Quiz, then MindBlender Quiz, and finally The Impossible Test. Before: Current:
Oh, that's kinda funny. 2 of my friends with iphones are obsessed with the Impossible Test. However, they figure out how to get past 1 level, then lose on the next, etc. Also, why did you remove the level counter?
I love threads like this! It's cool to see the unfinished work and how it transforms into the final form. This is how Minigore looked a year ago and how it looks now: Interestingly that pre-release version had dynamic lighting, but it wasn't worth it. Framerate took a big hit and it just looks like PS1 game in terms of lighting - the current baked lighting looks way better and is less aliased. In Episode 4 we're turning up the enemy detail and environment interaction (collision detection): Cheers, Timo
Brotherhood of Violence 2007/2008 screenshot of brotherhood runnin on psp.(develloped with homebrew SDK) And this is the revamped 2010 version running on iphone 3gs
This is a great thread! I only have two titles to date and here're some screenshots from my recent one called SOW. Old mock-up: Final game:
Impressive I'm currently studying Objective-C and have many ideas for games. It's really great to see how simple things turn into something wonderful! The only one of these featured games I own is Minigore but I'll be sure to check out all these others featured, as I'm very impressed with all the hard work
I really like this thread! Great to see how things evolved Here is Aqua Globs evolution - first pic shows beta version and second one the game after few months
The Evolution of Charmed My puzzle game, Charmed, went through some big changes in design from the beginning. Here is the first image I (the programmer) put together in Photoshop: Then I found some images of symbols I liked and showed them to my artist. I made the following image for him: Then I had an idea for a pirate version of the same game with a few variations. Never did anything with this concept, but it led me to have the rotating score and other controls only on one end of the display: I had a bunch of other theme ideas too. This one was the science theme: This is the final game we released:
very cool thread! some nice looking games out there! heres my contribution started with this (day 1) and then.. Now
Wicked, I love this, here you go, our game "Mad O Ball 3D" early screenshots: This are screenshots took from the first prototype we made on PC. and here is the final version on appstore:
This is great stuff. I'm a bit anal in that I keep old versions of stuff and take lots of pics, sometimes video too. I'm just finishing up 'Project K' - should be done in a couple of weeks. I'll certainly post up before and after pics then, as the difference is striking! Is there a way to 'favourite' this thread so I can find it later? Total noob question I know! Cheers, QS
Top of page > Thread options > Subscribe to thread I wish I kept more early artwork around! I tend to like getting my game polished early, and then continue building it.
