Frontier Elite 2 (1993) Elite 3: Frontier First Encounters (1995) Armour-Geddon (1991 game on Amiga by Psygnosis) Starglider 2 (1988 by Argonaut) Starglider 2 was really neat. You had a solar system to explore and an alien was building a big weapon on one of the planets somewhere. You had to explore space, the planets, and the mines on the planets with your spaceship and taking out alien ships at the same time. It was a big open world (solar system) game. The transistion from flying on the planets to space was very smooth. THere was no loading screen... you just went through clouds.
1: Constructor. 2: red alert 1 and the revival of Westwood studios. 3: settlers 2, in it's pure form without messing it up (again). 4: total annihilation. 5: theme hospital. 6: the battle for middle earth 1, it's storyline gameplay was miles better than 2 so that sequel can stay away. Nothing beats a bash up in helms deep. (yeah sure Lego just released one for mac but it doesn't look epic). 7: Airport. 8: the proper monkey island series. 9: star wars galactic battles (it woouldnt work on iPad but who cares, do it any way). 10: LAPD cop remake, with multiplayer added. Sorted.

An EXACT port of the original Contra for NES. None of this Chinese app store only, remade, IAP laden bullshit. Just the original Contra with a good port.
