As an FPS fan: A simplified form of Unreal Tournament Jailbreak! (The only jailbreak I really want on iOS...) Or Monsterball from Descent 3. (You can tell plain-old deathmatch is never my favorite playmode.) And yes, AvP would be awesome! (I only played AvP Gold, but I'd love to play AvP 2 someday, with the full alien life cycle.)
Giants: Citizen Kabuto! Wouldn't work, of course, and it was never successful enough to warrant risking it all again on the ipad, but you asked a question and I answered!
Thanks for the reminder! That's a game I still own and never got around to finishing. Seemed really cool, though, maybe I'll see if I can still get it running!
So you didn't get to play as Kabuto stomping villages and feeding off treacherous townsfolk? That whole last third was meant to be the dessert at the end of the meal! By the way, to Ramon above you- Unirally used to be my favourite snes game! And not just because I can actually ride a unicycle. It was just an amazingly tight and unique racer. Just thinking of the theme music gets me pumped. AN IOS port is not entirely out of the question, as that studio did later become ROCKSTAR GAMES! Someone should shoot them an email and bring up the idea of IOS'ing Unirally. There weren't too many fiddly controls that I remember; it would 100% work!
Every Working Designs 7 Treasure MasterP.E.a.c.e.z. I wish for my all time fav Alundra followed by ...
A very funny Amiga oldies, "North & South", that to me stay a strong reference in terms of gameplay, art direction and design, as the game was playable for two players with two joysticks [can't get embedded HTML5 bbcode player ]
One of my all-time favourite games, Car Battler Joe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_Battler_Joe It's an early GBA game, with Mode 7 car combat in a JRPG/Pokemon framework. It's essentially a Japanese-styled remake of the early Origin CRPG called Autoduel, which was a computer version of Steve Jackson's Car Wars tabletop game. If someone somehow obtains the rights to port / remake Car Battler Joe, please please please please hire me to work on it. Please.
... and another Amiga oldies, "It came from the desert". That game take place in the WW2, where you fight nazis with steampunk technology. But in the iOS port... all textual reference to nazis disappeared (as the intro on this video) and you fight some "Aliens" who plan to invade the world. I only play a few minutes but I never saw such a lame revision...
Arrrgh hate it when they do that, change history just in case it upsets anybody. Ridiculous. I remember in the 80's the classic arcade game 'Commando', came to home consoles but in Germany was renamed 'Space Invasion' ! Always was a fan of It came from the Desert. Hope companies release more old 16 bit Amiga style games, some around on iOS but not tons. A while back a company had bought lots of old Amiga games and apparently were going to re-release them on iOS but heard nothing
Neverwinter Nights 1 and Dragon Age: Origins. I think the current gen hardware can already run these games smoothly on their base graphics settings, plus we have Metal. Maaaan i wish they'd port one of these bioware games. I'd pay a premium 60USD for each of them outright lol
It should be possible, especially for NWN 1 and 2. With the success of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 im hoping they port in Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment. if they do, then it wont be long til we see an NWN port after.
