Search a product in the top right hand corner on iTunes. Enter the name of the product and you will find your search result in a list of products in an organized list below. This list of products also has a popularity graph (volume bar). Obviously my next question is the meaning of this bar and how iTunes determines the popularity of a product? Does anyone have the real answer. Jeff
The reason I am asking is Domino Dice went from 1 bar this morning to 16 bars in one day on iTunes/USA. It would be interesting to understand how that could happen. My suspicion is that it isn't sales oriented maybe a search count. Any ideas?
Also if you study the popularity graph on a lot of titles that you would expect to be doing really well, they don't have a lot of bars. So I am kind of lost. The bars are on the move up and down during the day. Could the graph be that sensitive to immediate actions related to a title?
Apple does not have that stuff set up well. They really need to redo the whole system so its organized and more easily searchable.
