    Dear TA fellas,

we are thinking about running a monthly (or maybe weekly) best score contest for our cartoon flyer [app]BubbleHead[/app] and are wondering what would be the most attractive prize for the winner.

We will be glad at your clicks in the poll and if you have some good suggestions (like car, house or space shuttle ;)), please, let us know in this thread.

Many thanks and touch your Apples hard!

The problem with gift cards and iphones are that it's hard to get them for people in different countries. You might be able to ship a MacBook, but I think an iPod Touch would be the easiest to ship.

The code for the giftcard(s)? But if they're US gift cards, people outside of the US wouldn't be able to use them.

Unless they create a US iTunes account which will mess up their app updates. Also, Apple reserves the right to verify that you're not using apps outside of the app store country that they were purchased from.

So in this case it really would be a LOT better to give the winners gift cards for their own country. And getting them from eBay is not a good idea either. So it would be kinda hard, I think.

I think any of the prizes listed would be worth of respect ;)

However, I think the iTunes gift card would be pretty cool. I look forward to the contests. I am so far the 13th best....I have a long way to go to #1

Why would you want a $1000 iTunes card? I'd prefer $1000 cash then I can spend it on anything I want. It would take me years to spend $1000 on apps.

Macbook definately the best from that list, I really want one of those anyway :D.

Just an idea, but you could do an iPod with a $200 gift card or some combination like that. It would be pretty cool.

Yes, definitely! Those in poll are just the suggestions, we really welcome posts like yours.

Maybe $100 Gift Card a week would be great... we're still searching the best way how to reward our current players and get the new ones at the same time. That's why it has to be very attractive.

I like how we are choosing between an iPod touch and a Macbook Pro!

I mean, if offering a Macbook Pro is financially viable for you (the developer), it should be everyone's number 1 choice. Because even if you really just want an iPod touch, you can sell the Macbook Pro, buy an iPod touch, and still have a TON of money left over to buy something else.

Aside from that, I think that offering an iPod touch or an iPhone might be counter intuitive because people are already using at least one of these devices to play your game. And if I won, or otherwise received, an iPhone, I might actually say thanks, but no thanks. There is a huge cost of ownership that comes hand-in-hand with that "gift."
