I think I speak for most of us when I say that what we believe is simply what we see... no one's 100% sure on how the universe came to be, but go back a few centuries and no one knew the earth was round either. Science revealed the truth behind that and we can only hope further developments will reveal the truth behind the universe too. More and more seemingly impossible events/situations/theories are being proven possible by science all the time... we even have proof for teleportation now, who saw that one coming?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscience HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of animals were killed. They still are being killed... but it ain't all floods. If hundreds of thousands of animals existed, that same amount would have to die... otherwise they'd live forever.
The Big Bang Theory offers an explanation to the creation of matter, not life. Spontaneous generation offers an explanation to the creation of life. Also, the Big Bang Theory has been dismissed by much of the scientific community. Nothing created God. If something did create God, then that thing would be God. Again, our finite minds cannot completely comprehend it but God is the Alpha and the Omega, he's been around forever.
And you're a kiss ass ignorant moron. Killing people is against the rules of God also, people still do it, by the way. Yourofl, do you read your own posts?
yourofl if you believe fossils are accurate, then you believe there has been life on earth for millions of years. But wait, the bible said that the earth was created in 7 days, 10,000 years ago.....
Don't forget the fact that we somehow totally skipped dinosaurs and their bones were probably just put there by God as a joke to make us question his existence.
Right, and everyone is a sinner, we are born sinners, it's human nature t be a sinner. You can't help it. Even as I, being a Christian still mess up, none of us are perfect (except Jesus and God).
they way things evolve is called genetics it is the same reason that you and i don't look exactly like our parents, and why certain people are immune to diseases, which is why you get a flu shot every year so that your body can change so that you won't get the flu, over time those changes add up taking us from a mono-cellular being it to what is a human, and those fossils are what document the change
You have neglected to answer my rebuttal. But I will follow up with another rebuttal anyways - if there was a flood, and Noah took all animals on his boat, explain to me how an old man created a boat large enough for millions of species, 2 of each, and how did he find them all?
Oh, what have I wrought on this board? BTW, Dave...I know you're a mod and all, and can't mod yourself...but goodness man, couldn't you shrink down the picture in that post? Also, slight pet peeve, which that picture and the study therein tripped off: What the hell is a "mainline Christian" or a "generic Christian"? Why are Catholics and Baptists separated from "generic and mainline" Christians? They're ALL Christians. Just separate denominations. And, yes, it kinda does matter, 'cause those of the Muslim and Jewish faiths also have separate denominations and yet, in that study, they aren't separated as the Christians are. "Mainline" Chrisitian tips me off that the person who probably wrote that grew up quite WASPy in America.
