Interesting, not that it matters. California is beyond saving at this point. We have seen this coming for decades. Perhaps we could sell it to China.
Very true. That is the primary reason such a system is in place. Some don't like it, especially when "their guy" loses, but the fact is that it balances out power somewhat between the states. The real issue, however, is gerrymandering, and how the carving up of districts to serve the interests of political parties is tantamount to gaming the system.
Yes, because the Democratic party isn't in the pocket of corporations either Keep believing that there are truly significant differences between the two major parties, folks, in terms of which groups have them in their pockets, and economic and foreign policy. That lie is how the donkeys and the elephants keep their power.
You do realize that lawyers, the AARP, and celebrities have a tendency to give obscenely large campaign donations and tend to support the Democratic party in elections, right?
To what group are you referring? The public sector unions? They already do it. Perhaps you mean the trial (litigation) lawyers. Wait, they already do that too.
I'm talking about big business being able to spend millions on a candidate. This is giving companies the ability to make candidates make laws that suit their needs. "Our company will give you x amount of millions if you promise to make it legal for us to dump our waste in the rivers when you get elected."
Then I stand by my initial statement. Sounds like a level playing field. Where you see evil corperations dumping waste in rivers, I can easily imagine an army of Jimmy Hoffa types strong arming people to get their way. California anybody.
Speed cameras. They need to be destoyed. Speed doesn't kill, dangerous driving does. I'm still lmao about those MPs who have been charged over expenses (UK news). I hope they go to prison, that'd just make my day
Obama breaking promise about the Armenian Genecide Throughout his campaign, President Obama assured Armenian Americans that he would recognize the genocide that the Turkish committed in Armenia. Now, as a bill is about to go to the House of Representatives, Obama has gone back on his word, stating that he does not support the bill. He claims that passage of the bill would hurt relations between the U.S. and Turkey as well as between Turkey and Armenia. What do you guys think about this?
Every politician=douchebag Everyone=Needs to stop listening to SNL/celebrities/people and read something unbiased so I don't get pissed off at the ignorance.
On the Armenian genocide: We can barely support ourselves and the racial discord that still surges from time to time. Along with this, an economy in the tank, and a president that sadly doesn't have at least the gift of gab, we don't have the time nor resources to intervene in a genocide. Pretty stupid promise, IMO. Probably made it to get some people off his back.
well...not all politicians...or like middle school politicians right ahah and well, thats where people will get info...why watch the news when Seth meyers makes the news hilirious?
