Carbon-14 dating has A TON of flaws. (Shroud of Turin anyone?)

Actually nothing ate meat until God allowed Noah and his family to eat meat while on Noah's ark. Before that, everybody farmed and all animals were vegetarian.

There is a reference to dinosaurs in the book of Job when behemoth is mentioned. Although behemoth means simply beast, the animal being described in the passage Job 40:15-24 is one specific animal. The only modern animal similar to behemoth would be a hippo, but a hippo could not be behemoth since God says a behemoth was too powerful to be captured by men and the Egyptians could capture hippoes single-handedly.

I just wanted to make those couple of points before I finish since we're really not getting anywhere. This is turning into name calling, which really isn't contributing anything to the arguement. Plus, it's apparent that I am 100% right in my beliefs and that you all are 100% in your beliefs, so it's not like anybody's going to win here. Plus, I have a lab write up to do before tomorrow.

Thank you for showing carbon-14 datings flaws. Thank you for using a book with as much merit as Peter Pan to prove some point. The description in that book literally could've been ANY made up beast. The bible has tons of fake made up animals, that story just doesn't name it, so you assume it's a dinosaur.

With an animal as large as the dinosaur, don't you think it would be a big part of their life? Why do no other books or cave drawings have dinosaurs drawn?

so i guess its carbon dating vs. blindly beleiving in a book written by a couple people thousands of years ago. You can believe in the bible sure, but dont just run around saying that it's completely true and unbiased. If you believe your religion is right, then millions of others believe that their religion is right too. If you want proof that religion is BS that caused millions to die then look at the news. All those terrorists are merely following (blindly that is) their religion, although their religion it has been twisted for the use of those in power. When some girl was born with six arms in india, so they worshiped her and didnt seek medical attention. She died shortly after. There are many other stories like that If you'd open your eyes.

Seriously...everything I said and thought when high made total sense when high

You're wrong about them getting killed off. They still do walk with man. They even started their own churches and have many passionate young drones.. er, I mean, voluntary followers.

Moses wrote Pentateuch 5 to 6 centuries before Jesus Christ. I think that explains how much the story about the creation can be considered true. Moses was a person looking for political power. That's why he invented that God Himself talked to him. He is the one who calms God because God wanted to destroyed his people in the desert. Moses presents himself as more merciful than God. Of course, he was the one wrote all of that. He presented himself as a person of God and yet he sent a plague to kill of the first-borns of the Egyptians. He is just one person who is smart, who loves power and who has an evil vision.

I take it from the post that English is not your first language.

If so...I guess it's all true what they say about not being able to translate humor properly from one language to the next.

And I thought this debate was about politics.

Why is there even a discussion about two things which may or may not be true (belief in a creator god, belief that there is no such thing)?

Why can't people just be more like me?

I don't give a rat's ass either way. Nice if there was, but if there isn't, oh well.

As this thread demonstrates.. religious beliefs help form political beliefs. It is interesting that conservatives don't hold to the "What Would Jesus Do" princible when it comes to their all political beliefs. They are even trying to rewrite the "liberal" Bible.

I'm really shocked.....I mean IF CDubby is not trolling, he's about as smart as yourrofl! Come on! Cdub I expected more from you! Oh and christians don't use the current scientific limits as a place to shelter your beaten philosophies. Just because we can't put a date on when inorganic became organic...we will, and then your religion will need to find another stone to hide under.

English is not my first language. It is my third one. I read very fast the first. I was reading too seriously. I reread it, and I can see the humor even though it is not as funny as other commentaries. So, I'll work on my reading and you can read on your humor;).

I am sorry if I have hijacked the thread about politics by talking about religion.
