XD Like I said...that's just awesome! If he checks it out and writes back, please link us. If he doesn't...****ing pester him about including a song about Polara on the next CC album. >_>
Hahahaha I should actually if you haven't heard of them, the ex-lead guitarist of Threat Signal was supposed to do the soundtrack but time and cash didnt allow. He has another project called Intandem. It's not as heavy as CC but the guy has amazing musicianship. Check some stuff his name is Kyle McKnight http://youtu.be/D176fc8QKVA http://youtu.be/meLYBVMyDO4 http://youtu.be/LEDI5S-W2RU
Man, Exact Science, you really have some serious skills in this game if you've gone as far as level 18 on Flawless!! I'm at level 14, have all the letters and all but one special, but the deaths I've endured to achieve this is embarrassing... I've just now looked at the other modes... The replay value of this game is through the roof. I've only opened the two first modes, and I can see it takes some skills to open the rest. This game is on my top ten list on iOS for me, and I've been buying a lot of games the last three and a half years for my iPhone and iPads... Great work Devs. Btw, I would have bought this even if it was three times the price, it's absolutely worth it, even before reading the comments here, as soon as I saw the Ikaruga system described in the app info. I really hope you'll make good money on this game. I want to see what you'll make if you don't have to worry about money for your next game.
Sweet! Kyle's a brilliant musician. It's all he's about so this next project he does should be pretty epic. The song Slavestate is massive. Pretty cool stuff...plus he loves Devin Townsend and has a wall covered in Dimebag pics. That's all gold in my books. So check em out but keep your eyes out for the full album. Should be good!
By the way, I just wanted to take the time to thank the artists that helped us a lot on this project. Ogi Grujic http://ogig.blogspot.ca/p/news.html?m=1 And Vince Chui http://www.kidchuckle.com/ We get by with help from our friends. Check out their art, some talent there for sure!
Whew. Just beat level 18. Had a really hard time wrapping my brain around those gravity challenges. Can't imagine going for the letters and Special on that one right now. Difficulty is really ramping up now...
It certainly is challenging but over time you'll get coordinated with the systems and be pulling off ninja like flawless runs.
By the way, i just have to point out what i think is a flaw, albeit pretty minor. After completing a level, the results screen animates too slow when it shows the Polara Letters, the Special item, and the number of deaths. Maybe add a fast forward/skip when tapped to skip the animation but still show the stats.
I agree. When I played Levels 11-15 the first time round, I'd get around 30-40 deaths. But now that I've progressed till Lvl 46, going back and replaying these levels allows me to achieve a flawless run by my second try. Surely feels easier to coordinate a flawless run now that I've grinded my way through the tougher levels.
Just beat level 24, and I can now with confidence say, that the level designer must be a sadist! And I must be a masochist, since I'm loving every minute of the abuse of my left/right brain coordination and reflex challenges this game requires.
I picked Polara up looking for a casual game, instead I got this challenging yet addictive auto-run platformer! I call it a high-tech Canabalt with a storyline attached. Warning: you seriously need a good hand-eye coordination for Polara. No kidding.
Great game but I prefer playing it on my iPhone. I have to agree that it's harder to play due the miss jumps. In this case, an iPhone 5 update is really necessary. I didn't read the entire topic but I hope to see an update and enjoy this game even more. Congratulations dev for such nice concept and good execution.
