Only just tried opening it up just now (14:55 GMT) but there are already news reports of the game having been down since 8AM; likely coinciding with the 26(!) country launch. God damn it. The U.K. couldn't be bundled in with a large amount of countries for the initial launch, but an additional combined few hundred million people is fine barely days after another serious server issue? /salty
Yeah, it's pretty bad right now. I got excited because I finally got on and saw something by me besides a rat, bat or bird. Lagged out the second I got on, though. Back to staring at the loading screen.
i managed to create a club trainer account. Or at least i think i did, because i didn't get any verification email. Now trying to log in, it sais "unable to authenticate" and i found out it's because of the server issues. This is even worse than Wolrd of Warcraft launch week.
The constant crashing is extremely annoying, especially with the game apparently being dead today, but it's still so worth all the aggravation. The only other game I've cared this much about not being able to access is WoW. That should be proof of just how great it is. Now please, fix the freaking servers!!!!!
Agree....had quite a good morning, got over 15 new 'mons but now unable to authenticate and server down. Haven't received the authenticate email either..... Shame.
Just when things started to clear up, things were starting to actually remain stable, they pull this shit. They HAD to know this was going to happen. That's just a ####ed up Move.
Can't login at all here in Califirnia! Can't authenticate the Pokemon trainer account. I don't use the google login! Must be a combination of multiple countries and the weekend! Time to go out exploring without Pokemon!
Back in business. I've been able to login! They are on a difficult situation on trying to create the game working with the combination of new countries and players to not upset vs address existing customers and businesses who claim to be having Pokemon events. Iove in a small beach town and one of our restaurants is hosting a Pokemon event. Not as big as the rumored Chicago 33,000 event but impressive that so many businesses are getting engaged.
