To anyone who is loading this up for the first time using a trainer club account, there was a number of screens where I had the option to put a tick in a box but I skipped through them. Can anyone tell me what I missed as I didn't read them due to being at work and rushing through to get setup lol!
No issues, I was just wondering what I had missed (anything important), or was it just to receive updates/marketing info?
If you use a Pokémon trainer account and you suddenly can't login 48 hours after you signed up, it's probably because you didn't verify your email address. Check for the email from Pokémon Customer Service. That's what happened to me. I was then able to login in again a minute or so after verifying my email. You can login on the website and have them resend the email as well.
Yeah, childish. Your appraisal of the game, while valid, clearly indicates that it wasn't made with your priorities in mind. That's life, and it's not remotely CREATIVE of you to suggest making this game more like most available games, which do accommodate to your priorities. Perhaps a stationary kid would buy a lot of incense; good for business. What's the business aspect of you wanting a complete home game experience? Honestly a lot of people wouldn't get out for the sake of the game if you could make even half the progress from one location as you do moving around. You're just poo-pooing the idea behind the game under the guise of brainstorming. I only mentioned home-related IAP because you promised some sort of great business idea for the game to make more money. What is it? Just another traditional Pokemon game. Nice projection. Nothing you suggested was creative and you're shooting the game down for being outside the box itself.
Anyone else losing massive amounts of pokeballs because of freezing after hitting a Pokemon with the ball? I'm losing at least half.
Yes. But I think that means the Pokemon broke out anyway. I've had it freeze plenty of times where I had the Pokemon after I restarted the app.
I start taking a break when this happens. Ball closes, data indicator spins/goes away, then nothing. Happens about 40% of the time when it does, I'd say about 30% of the time the poke is in my inventory when I restart.
Not sure if businesses understand games but after the release week the excitement drops . Still fun but I was seeing 1000 people in the park in first few days now it's back to normal. I'm sure Nintendo of all people know how to keep the app going somewhat but how do they expect to keep half the people playing when most people didn't play games to begin with
Over 33,000 people are either registered to attend or interested in attending a Pokemon Go event in Chicago on Sunday.
Close the app and restart it after every pokemon u catch. The game wont ever freeze and u never lose anything u catch.
Nowhere did I say "complete home game experience." Stop putting words in my mouth if you're trying to counter my point. Because making up points that I didn't say doesn't further the discussion. And yes, I think adding more to a somewhat small experience is what Nintendo will do. So I tried to discuss what we would like to see added. And I'm not shooting it down. I play it. Everyone at my work plays it. But right now as I'm waiting to leave home or when I'll be standing in line for dinner, it would be neat to have ANOTHER thing to do within the game that wouldn't plant me in one spot for 30 minutes. What would you like to see in the game that isn't there? I imagine, since you're bent on shooting down my discussions, that you've got a great idea or that you just want to catch and train. Are you looking forward to trading? How about battling friends outside of gyms? Let's discuss the game and stop arguing.
Anyone experience this bug where all the "nearby" pokemon are stuck on 3 footstep icons? It started this morning for me and it seems like a bunch of people on reddit also have the same issue :/
I dunno how it is elsewhere, but simply logging into another country's store if it's not available in yours isn't enough. I picked it up from the US store but Japan's still a wasteland.
Yep same here it showed some Pokemon that were a few steps away as three steps, but as I walked they showed right next to me. I picked it up from the US App Store as well as its not released in my country but I can still catch Pokemon, but the no. of gyms and Pokestops is very low I haven't seen one yet. A few of my friends told me there are some in other cities though. That might be the difference and I think that's what they meant by global release.
