Like he said you'll keep the progress it's tied to the account. I'm in the UK and been playing lots of Pokemon around sadly not at my house though but if I go outside I can find them everywhere including pokestops too
This game does work while driving. I was the passenger of course and I caught a few Pokemon and pokestops. But it didn't go toward much for hatching my egg. As for differences in egg hatching distances I think that may be because a more rare or powerful Pokemon might take longer to hatch? Just a thought. All in all I'm loving this game. I've meet a few cool strangers by the movie theatre by my house because someone dropped a lure. IAPs seem fair as well.
Eggs with higher km are more "valuable" pokemon. For example, 2km is like a Weedle. 5km is like a Horsey. 10km is a (I dunno, haven't gotten one yet you lucky bugger). I just spent the last 40 minutes doing laps around the house for an Ivysaur I can see. It's gone from 2-5th position on my nearest list. Going to try one more time in a few minutes. While driving it KINDA works. You can catch some pokes and sometimes if the Pokestop is close enough to the lane you can nab it. I noticed over 35 and you're not very likely to catch most stops. Under 30 and you can get about 90%. Walking still seems to get the most Poke's in general though. P.S. Last I heard, UK and Europe Pokemon has been put on indefinite hold (per the CEO) until all the issues are worked out. IGN had an article about it yesterday afternoon. Edit Adding article link on indefinite hold: http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/07/08/pokemon-go-international-launched-paused-in-wake-of-server-troubles?abthid=57801c00f571300a1900000f
Has anyone found out if its better to level up and evolve for example a pidgey to pidgeot than just catching a pidgeot ? I mean for kp etc.
Me and the kids have had a blast with this game First off love Pokemon and also I dig AR Just hope the get the crash issue solved and server drops other than that I actually think this idea worked Also why no tutorial and explain some stuff including the currency this was pointed out on the TA podcast and I agree 100% because even non Pokemon people are getting into it Snoop loves it haha
Put it this way --- don't play it if you don't have a decent source of power available nearby or on you.
Yes bye bye battery and runs hot some on 5s Also I live downtown in city I live in so I just walk outside and there they are pretty nice ha
Me and my partner just spent 3 hours walking around the big city near us and the battery just about lasted! It was good and got quite a lot, normally I don't like walking for no reason but this game gives me a reason plus it's a nice place anyway but I don't walk without a purpose. I haven't actually evolved anything though....as I can't decide if all Pokemon are created equal? Are some better than others? Does XL or XS make any difference? But then when they evolve I think they lose whatever they had for size anyway and CP seems random? Hatched two 5km eggs today and got two Vulpix, also managed to catch the first Onyx I've ever seen and Dratini again.
Amen, and constructive criticism at that. AppUnwrapper is thoughtful with her comments, positive or negative. Always room for that here.
Honestly, today's servers seemed the most stable yet. (personally) With my Mophie, I've been running the game from 8 am until 730 pm. No extras. On the whole time. Screw Ivysaur BTW. Looked for him back and forth multiple neighborhoods for 2 hrs. With him as the #1 "closest" to me, he never left 3 stars. BUT I got a Haunter. (one of the only Ghosts) CP 367 so that's nice. I wish they'd put the distance back. These foot icons mean jack squat. At least 2-1 feet I'm in the area. 3 feet means anything up to a city block squared. Ridiculous. And incredibly hard to pin point. Other fun catches today were Kabuto, Slowpoke, and transforming my Pidgeotto into a Pidgeot (which is 1 power up from being maxed). The gym closest to me currently has 2 Snorelax's at 500+ CP. So jealous. 3 days, the total is 12.98 miles walked. Tons of people seen. More people driving (faster, but not safer) and a couple people riding bikes. I think I'm going to dust off the roller blades. Maybe I'll even cosplay to look like more of an idiot
If someone had a way to mass produce Ash Ketchum hats right now they'd probably get rich quick on Amazon. I know for sure people would don those on their walks playing this.
I've had the complete opposite today. Multiple 300cp Pokemon lost due to server errors and had to sign in over two dozen times Edit: Haven't been able to log in for over four hours now
Do Pokemon appear in public areas only? I really don't want to go into someones backyard and my excuse for being back there is "I was trying to catch a Pokemon."
I don't think it distinguishes (I have captured them around the house and fished off my dock) but it is clearly set up to promote public areas more, including where gyms and those item reload sites are based. Only one crash today, amazingly, but I'm not playing it constantly either.
