You playing this, Badmanj? Are there any Pokemon in Berkshire?

Is crashing on launch a common problem? I haven't managed to get any further than sitting on the Niantic splash screen for a few seconds before it crashes.

I don't have a NZ account and don't think it's out in UK yet...

Not so many Pokemon here but plenty of Pikemon! I hope to catch me a Chavosaur as soon as I get this installed!

I make it past that screen every time and get to the map but nothing is going on there. Guessing server issues.

Does incense have to bee enabled to catch Pokemon?

Is your device jailbroken? Have read that that's an issue, though have read there is a solution.

I am 34, and I have met a lot of people playing the game. Some older than me. It's kind of creepy, but game encourages socializing. There was a pub crawl in KC with people doing it.

I also have friends that are in their 30s playing this that have never worked out but are now actively walking.

There are also a few celebrities playing this if you follow social media.

  9. Yeah, I've been so self-conscious while trying to catch Pokemon out in public myself. I probably draw more attention by trying not to draw attention. :/

Nope. Just walk around and you'll find some.

The little pokemon that you see on the bottom right with those 3 little feet? That tells you how close you are to that pokemon, 3 foot steps mean that its far away and as you get closer it gets to 1, and then zero foot steps.
Also it seems that there are different pokemon in each area. Just look closely to the foot steps if you want a certain pokemon

So I was playing this while walking home from work yesterday, and there were some spots that were like little radar pings on the map. I walked to them, but nothing happened, and they eventually disappeared. It was different from the rustling leaves where you might find a pokemon, but the brief tips thing in the menu didn't mention them. Anyone know what it is?

I think they need to make the common Pokemon spawn more often. It's kind of pointless to play this game when you can't even find a Pokemon to help level up the same Pokemon that you want to keep.

Your character radiates a ping, and when you click a spot on the map you get a blue ping-like reaction. Is that what you're talking about? I've never seen another ping-like thing. Anyway, the tap ping does nothing, and the radiating ping shows your search radius.

So today my login process has degraded to either the never ending spinning pokeball or a kick back to the login choices screen when I hit sign in. It doesn't even say cannot authenticate anymore...... I did send a bug report just now so maybe they will email me back but I'm guessing they have thousands of emails about it.

So there's a gym near my work that I took over yesterday and when I came back today, it was taken by another team. So I went there again today, and the red gym was accompanied by 4 red-shirted staff (of a Dept I have no idea about) and I know at least one was playing. There was 4 Pokemon in the gym by 4 different people. I whole-sale mopped the floor with my Ponyta's tail. I now own the gym.

I walk back to my work van after feeling like a badass... And those 4 dudes walk away, and one looked like he was going to go home and beat his wife.

This is what Pokémon is all about, ladies and gentleman.

I am 28, IRL gym regularly, and Pokémon gym regularly to this day with the Game-Boy RPG games. I am currently wearing a Pokémon beanie. I currently have a lanyard for my work badge with a gym badge attached to it for every year I've worked there (4).

Like you said, you do you. Some people aren't afraid to be a kid still :3

Im completely out of the loop. But before i download this game, do I have to drive around my neighborhood to find pokemon? Or can I do it in the comfort of my home

You can get some in the comfort of your own home. Even walking to get a drink or take a piss is enough steps to stir around some Pokémon. However, you'll want to still venture out to find Pokémon different from the ones you'll find in your immediate vicinity.
