QFT. Cut the probability of getting a carbon by 50-75% from what it is now once you get to, say, level 16. And did I see correctly the last time I leveled (to 18) that I got 1500 coins? That's not much of a prize at this point. You know what would be cool? Giving away "free repair" tickets when you level up. THOSE you could bank at lower levels and they would mean something later in the game.
And maybe do the same for Steamers at level 13-14. It would also be nice if it was a +500 coin increased everytime you leveled up, starting at 1500 the first time. So by the time I would get to level 16, I'd get a nice 7500 coins. Enough to build a medium-ish railway in Asia.
Don't u guys find this game too simplistic.. I just played pocket plane and I find pp has much more strategy involved then this.. In pp you must plan your route.. In pt you can take any connecting routes.. Once u reached the destination u get your money.. Basically profits keep rolling in.. I don't see any challenge in this game at all other then trying to complete the train sets..
I'm getting nothing but Carbon Steamers out of special crates (I'm level 14). Meanwhile, I'm getting Standard, Zypher, Dragonbreath, etc out of the normal crates at a pretty big rate. So odd! There's got to be a bug. I mean, literally, every day for about a week, the only thing out of my daily Special Crate is a Carbon Steamer.
Reached level 16 and opened crates. Special crates: 4 x carbons 2 x daylight Normal crates: 3 x steamer 1 x regional 3 x global 1 x national 2 x gila 1 x san juan 1 x rio 1 x terabyte 1 x pecos 2 x zettabyte 1 x exabyte 1 x petabyte Very disappointed with the special crates considering that I earned them from completing events as well as spending coins when they appear on sale at a station. I mean, 30k coins for a carbon part just doesn't cut it.
Actually, I just had a special crate opened and it too was a Carbon Steamer. Maybe it cycles through stuff and once you've exhausted the list of stuff to unlock they all become carbon steamers? I wonder too if it has to do with the 99 Parts limit. That is after you get 99 parts it never ups the counter. I'll have to build a few steamers or something to knock my part list down to under 99 next time I have a special crate (Later today after I finish the current Event).
Ok, so I dropped the number of parts down to 96 then opened a regular crate (Pecos Standard) then opened the special crate from completing the Event today and it had a Dragonbreath inside. So they aren't all Carbon Steamers. I'll test again later when I get my next special crate. Or someone else try it and report back.
just reached level 18. opened 10 crates (5 special, 5 regular) special: carbon (2) century bullet dragon regular: freighter pecos vanilla bluebell cherry at least i got a freighter... meh.
I'm pretty sure what's inside the crate is random, but the odds are changing depending on the level. And I agree, getting a carbon part from a special crate earned after a difficult event is a bit meh. But tbh, carbon steamer is one of the best trains out there. Cheap and efficient for end of the lines feeders. I got 4 complete carbons and I could use more! I like them way better than dragon breath for instance.
I've got 70ish parts and I've not exhausted my list of stuff to unlock. I've not done any trading at all so I'm building SLOWLY.
Thanks for the reply. I guess the 99 limit thing is just a coincidence. I got another special crate but oddly it gave another Dragonbreath! It was enough to push me over the edge to 5/5 so I crafted it. Oh and I had 98 items before opening the special crate.
Folks, does anybody have a full world map? Every time I open lines I realise they should have been done with a different train or even should be opened later. :-(
jdrawmer recently posted a map of his routes, it is a nice world-map althou he painted in his routes...but you can still see the Cities and routes http://s11.postimg.org/re73lbvyp/10033438785_3cc88e1210_o.png
