It's not random. The payout for delivering a job is affected by three factors - distance, number of cars and value multiplier (1, 2, 3 or 4 coins or bux)). A one coin, one car job from Munich to Berlin gives you 12 coins. A one coin, one car job from Munich to Moscow gives you 38 coins. A two coin, one car job from Munich to Moscow gives you 76 coins.
Ah, ok. Still sucks that you can have a 5 car that is worth 120 coins, but a 2 car that is worth 120 as well, going to the same city.
I've deleted this game twice in the past week. And I'm wanting to DL it again. After a while, it feels more like an itch than anything else. It was taking up way too much of my attention, heh
I use the 1-4 coins displayed under the car to let me tell, at a glance, which cargo is more valuable without having to do any actual math. It's worth noting that higher base value cars also have brighter names, which I assume is another shortcut when trying to work at value quickly
What's the better value in IAP? 50 special crates or 75 regular? Opinions? I'm at level 12 and feel an urge to support NB as I've played all their games a ton.
It depends on your level. If you are below level 10 then 50 special crates will be better because you are likely to get mallard and daylight parts which at that level will easily be better than the steamer and express parts you'll get from regular crates. However, if you are above level 10 I would recommend the regular crates since you have an increased chance of getting the standard and zephyr sets of trains. (Probably not many zephy parts at level 10 but still...) I'm level 18 and the standard trains are the backbone of my operation. I have a Gila standard that is fully upgraded with two fuel cars and two extra engines.
Anyone else having trouble getting iPad and iPhone to sync? I have both logged into the same icloud account, both have icloud sync turned on, but its still not syncing And if anyone has any spare parts... feel free to send some my way I'm way far behind everyone 17QSW

Could someone help me understand why base fuel is important? Other than having enough to cross the atlantic...why does it end up mattering when you can just refuel?
I thought I wouldn't need fuel cars, either, because I don't play that much, but it is helpful. You can make more stops at once, good for multiple deliveries when you know you won't play for a while. And some cities in Asia are really far apart. Definitely gonna need some new colors. I like having a different one for every railroad, and 8 is not enough!
