I'm late to the party as usual. Had to jump thru hoops to upgrade from IOS5 to IOS7 before I could install Pocket Trains. So far PT is interesting with enough differences from PP to make discovery of new strategies part of the fun ... Or frustration, depending on how you look at it. Already figured out there is no job refresh. Still chugging along with my original 3 trains. It might be a long time before I can add a 4th train cuz most of my Bux are spent expanding layover capacity at my cities. :-/ plus it costs an arm and leg to open crates .

My daily event is 50 jobs out of Minsk. Unable to participate, not enough coins to open the city.

Is it my imagination that typing mesg on forum under IOS7 is much slower than under IOS5? There is definitely a lag.

 

Getting a bit of lag too under IOS6.

What a great game. Even more fun than PP.
I've been following this thread and enjoying your tips and strategies.

Just had my first National Express on its way to Reykjavik. Wow, these coins and bux are flying by so much faster! I love the tunnel.

 

Depends on the level of the train in question. For the steamers, unless you're looking to build another engine or fuel car of that type, the part is more economical if you have it:

Repairs tend to be around 1K, but an assembled steamer engine or fuel car only sells for 2K but requires 3 pieces -> You'll save 1K coins by using parts in this case.

 

Im looking for Metro and National parts. If anybodys willing to trade i got carbon parts. Thanks.

Loving this game so far, although I miss the whole social aspect of PP. Also, in PT it seems it would be fun but still profitable to get all the cities, whereas in PP you don't want too many airports. I've arranged my lines according to north-south & east-west lines so far.


Still stuck mostly on steamers, so if anyone has spare express parts and even some carbon steamers, I'd be very grateful. Gift code: 1LPB Mallard too!
