Just give it a little longer. We were trying a new system that did not scale as advertised so we just rewrote the backend. The new system is up and running great and I am currently migrating the data so any gifts on the old system should come through in the next couple hours.
We talked about that quite a bit and in the end decided not to include it. Pocket Trains is in the Bitizen world but you never directly interact with them unlike Pocket Planes and Tiny Tower so it didn't feel right. That said we may still change our mind but can't promise anything.
I don't know if this is a bug but it's annoying. I had a blue line train shared with a red line city station. I then decided to change that blue line to a red line, and now my blue line train is stuck in a red line.
I'm regretting buying my train line all the way out to Iceland. The trains I have barely have enough fuel to make it worth the trouble of going there
Regional Express Is there a certain level you have to reach before you will get REgional Express parts from your crates?
What happens when you add an engine to an existing train? Haven't had the opportunity to do that yet but curious.
I haven't done it either. It should allow the train to pull more cars (same top speed as before, but twice as many horses), but NimbleBit could have chosen to do something differently.
One observation. The Bux jobs are very interesting. Sometimes the job is for 4 BUX from Amsterdam to Moscow. I just delivered a 16X Bux job from Glasgow to London which is like 3 mins.
This is off the top of my head so it might be slightly different but I believe engines allow for 50% more cars per engine and fuel adds 100% more fuel per fuel car. The speed of the train cannot be changed.
NimbleTim, hello! I know there probably isn't a definite answer (though I'd love it if there was!), but will there be any kind of Global Event system like in Pocket Planes in the future? Has it been talked about / if there won't be, may we know why? Just out of curiosity Many thanks in advance!
It was definitely talked about multiple times over the development of the game. I can't say it will never be added but right now we are leaning towards no with the local events taking its place. We definitely like some of the things that the global events bring to games but it is something that can be very hard to balance. We have some small things coming in the next update (already on Android) but for now we are concentrating most of our efforts on trying to make the launch as smooth as possible. Once things calm down a little we will talk about any changes we want to make to the game some of which will be based on the feedback we are currently getting. So you never know .
wish there were more info and timers visible in the game. right now i just play a bit, run out of fuel... and then forget about the game for many hours :/ you can't really do anything while refueling... and there seems to be no bonus layawaying.
Something I would really love to see is a timer near the fuel bar that counts down to when it will be completely filled. I'm also finding train breakdowns to be really really annoying, and they add no strategic value to the game at all. They're really just in the way, and it takes long enough to earn money already.
Addicted so far, at lv 8 with 7 lines. At the job screen, each job has the number of cars and rewards. Is that reward the total sum, or is the final reward = reward x number of car? Some city has a bigger red dot, what does that mean? Do cities have difference class like PP?
I can appreciate that the fuel system has been changed, perhaps there is a deeper strategy I'm not seeing yet or some other design decision. However I can see I'm not the only one here who is frustrated by the way fuel works in practice. From my point of view, I open the game, load up my train and plan the route, only to be greeted with a 'Computer says NO' pop up. That's not fun, it's a negative experience and that feeling can't be a deliberate part of the design.

You should add fuel cars to all your trains. It changes the experience a lot. To other people: read the thread, you lazy bums! The same questions get asked over and over again. And the answers are all there.
Something I haven't read in this thread.... did you know that when you're in the scenery screen, and you tap on the train, you get extra info on the cargo you're carrying?
