Looks like that dreamcast dungeon crawler series that was ported to gamecube (first game of which). Anyone remember the name?
Crescent Moon Games has just joined forces to publish Pocket RPG - and also - they are helping us with Ultra Kid and Gears. We are very excited about this tasty RPG
that is a lot - and no there isn't plan to support 2nd gen iPod touches, yet - only Retina as far as I know.... I'm not even sure how you'd show like 30 or 40 blobs on the screen with 2nd gen anyway tbh...?
So 3rd gen iPod touches (32/64GB) will be supported? Also, the game looks awesome. Will there be chests like in LoZ, will monsters drop items, will you buy them from a shop, or will it be a mixture of all? (I find monsters dropping items weird... like in Zenonia - why would a Slime drop a sword?) And how many hours of gameplay do you think we are looking at?
Hard at work here and happy that we have the support of CM now so we can concentrate on the important stuff! There will be an in game video very soon that we will pass onto Josh at CM. Thanks! First iPad then 4G and we will examine how to bring this to lower platforms without ruining the player experience. Sorry... but a fun game is the most important element to us here. We saw an opportunity with the new hardware to finally do everything we wanted to in a game and ceased the day. There will be lots of monsters and no, they will not drop weapons if creatures do not look capable of holding a weapon or using a weapon. (That's just silly really... and I hate that as well.) Most weapons will be found in chests. Also there will be no armor drops mostly due to the fact that we did not want to show the armor on the characters... why place armor and not see it? Rings and Amulets will be equip-able but not shown on the characters. (That is not ideal... but OK.) Hours of gameplay... thats a tough one to say. The levels are random and fairly quick to play. We also will have a rogue style (perma death) mode available. 3 Character classes to play, unlockable items, achievements... I would guess anywhere from a few hours to forever depending on your experience. We will also be updating with new achievements and items based on player feed back which we do hope we will receive. @iVaro Yes we are using Unity 3 for our dev. Hope this answers some questions. Cheers!
Hi guys! I think that Pocket RPG will be a great project! I`m so excited about it. Hack & slash rpg is my favorite type of the game...kills-loot-loot-kills! I would offer to you a promotion of your game in Russia - pre-release, release, some of promo-codes and maybe contest! What do you think? Maybe you have new screenshots or, it would be much better - gameplay-video? Best regards. P.S. Филипу Орехову отдельный привет!
