One concern I have read about in this thread and share is that everyone will end up with the same build at the end of the day. Since the skills are strictly based on what mission you are on, everyone at the same level will be pretty much the same. I think this would be helped by having a skill tree instead of a skill list. Suspect you dumbed it down on purpose but I like having to think about my build a bit more.

Also, Suggest allowing different levels within a single skill. I think it would be cool to be able to stack up my points in a single skill or item vs. having all of them mastered with on selection.

I too echo the cry for a true RPG/Diablo style game. I dig this but wow could it have been so much more. Understand budget constraints are a reality. Hopefully this game will sell enough that you have a bigger budget next time!

I always get the haven't sold anything achievement when I've sold items - so something wrong there.

Question: I literally break everything I can find - but I always find I do not have 100% on that. Does the percent count go down if somehow you don't get all the gold? What about items on a ledge out of reach - are those destroyed with arrows by the ranger?

I think it's funny that you can shoot NPC's to get them to speak or wake up. Somehow it just fits right in with the flavor of this game, which is really fun and I definitely don't mind the lack of deep RPG elements or carryover between adventures. It's like Rogue Junior in cartoony 3D and it's just a light-hearted good time. It's very much what I expected from a game called 'Pocket RPG' so I'm not at all disappointed.

On the other hand, it robs you of the chance to benefit from a good run. My battle mage's fight with the last boss was harder than it needed to be because I had really mediocre items compared to some things I had in the adventures leading up to the last one. I won because that soul charging thingy amulet resurrected me at least six times over the course of an otherwise drawn out and boring fight.

There was nothing I could do to prevent that, I had all the skills and almost all items unlocked, no way to go somewhere else and improve the character before attempting that fight. I would have preferred to win it because of a decision I made but there is no room for such decisions in this concept.

Yes, I'm feeling that now. I think I'd prefer the skills screen to create more interesting choices. We were out of budget by the time work on the skills started. I'm going to look at it again... hopefully we will have the resources to do it right this time.

    Me too ;)

Which boss fight was that? I'm guessing it's a boss with a lot of health, so probably the final boss?

Just getting unlucky with items can happen in this game, although there are strategies to reducing the chances of it happening.

The Soul Shard is a tricky item, it takes up one of your four slots so it amounts to a choice to gain extra protection at the cost of damage output (assuming there were items that dropped that could have boosted your damage).

I plan to make the Soul Shard a bit more versatile in the future and try make fewer lemon item drops so that you don't end up in situations where item choices are trivial. I don't want what happened to you to happen to anyone.

Almost finished, is there value in replaying? And if I pick another character, do I need to restart?

Great game, but I call it pocket rogue! All disappointment has gone. This is the king of hack and slash rogue games!

Each character starts again at the beginning levels... you won't undo your progress with the current character, but you will be playing from the slime quest again with the new character...

Each character is quite different, I'd like to think you can have a bunch of fun trying out a different play-style.

Yes, the final one. The others were more or less trivial.

I don't remember exactly what I had but nothing that made me not want to use the slot for the soul shard. I had used the soul shard in previous adventures (two of them in one case), but usually only wore it to charge it up.

I only want to note, I'm finding the candidness of these developers truly refreshing.

    Lol Gab.
I a almost done ... The dragon was almost dead when that @@@@@@@ of my wife took the iPad away because her parents arrived.

To the devs ... The book of thunder for the Mage is very unbalanced. Since I got it I kill everything and anything very easily. Not to mention if I plant a barrier hemisphere.
Also the last three adventure feels very similar.

UPATE: as proof that the thunder book makes the game unbalanced. Now that I was left alone :D I killed the dragon without dying a single time. I even did nit need the reincarnation pendant.

I for one will welcome the skill tree, but even in it's current (buggy) state I cannot put the game down.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but in the quest with the Lich Lord, at the very start of the last map in the room where the shopkeeper was, my character could only walk half way across the room, and while you can see from the pic that there are two light holders, I could not go to them or even shoot at them.

Replaying some of the earlier levels is pretty fun - with the increased difficulty. Noticing that the game shuts down a lot on me when I finish a game and get the points summary. Then when I resume game, I have no gold or skill points. But at least I had fun - and the randomised dungeon layout is cool.

I was going for e achievement of having a boss at less than 10 percent then dying - got the ogre down to a little smidgen of health and let him start wallopping me, but the gargoyle traps killed him! Kind of funny, because with my luck, if I was actually aiming to kill the boss that time I probably would have gotten killed instead. ;)

So far I have not experienced any shut down, but some frame rate drop when I received emails.

    Loving the replay difficulty!

I think a locker system like 100 rogues uses would be a nice addition to the game, maybe four slots or so, so you could stick a few nice prices of equipment in there for future playthroughd/levels assuming you come across a locker, maybe hide them in secret areas? Also maybe loose the locker contents upon defeat to make it harder to stockpile ueber items?

Also, are there any unique items in the game? Haven't come across any and the more I think about it, probably doesn't make any sense to have u owes with the item system, but still is always fun to find!

Any future plans for armor slots to spice up the looting?

I really like the locker idea, and its very possible.

Originally we weren't gonna have any armor in the game , but I painted some in any spare time I could find. It's one of my favorite aspects of RPGs.

I will definitely paint more armors for the updates so we can see about adding in another slot but that also means editing the inventory/shop screens, so its all based on budget.

Hm, it seems everytime I replay the first game, the game shuts off on me. It makes it hard to use the gold and skill points when they aren't there. I will try some of the other dungeons and see if they also cause the same problem.

I've had it shut down a few times but rebooting the iPad always helped.

Ok in reply it is more fun but still not very difficult.
Can players say if replay with a different character makes sense or it is the same more or less?
Will we ever get an update with new adventurers or random maps or endless dungeons?

    awesome game

but it's crying out for multiplayer! I would happily pay another $1 a month for being to jump into random games and hunt along side other players for loot.
