I love rogue-likes and this one fits the bill perfectly. There is a lot of polish to the game which is shown from the start with all the extra setting options you have available. Love that you can resize and position your controls. When you die you get to keep the gold which goes towards making your characters stronger for the next play. It means that death is not all together a bad thing. Being able to save your exact position in the game at any time is really appreciated. Six classes all with their own skill sets. I only have two cons to mention. As has already been said, the English translation needs some work, though it doesn't affect the gameplay as is. And I would really love to be able to adjust the zoom level. It's just a little too close for me. But really this is a fantastic game, and should be instantly bought if you in any way like rogue games. #
Those small touches those small ings are what really gets me going with this game. Different helms give different zoom levels, different armor gives different speed (I don't think you feel that much of a difference at first, but when you pile it up... man it really shows). I really like those small details.
The game is nice and the genre is my favourite. Controls are fine however the dev really need to add the MFI support, right now with my CTRLi the left stick works great but i can attack only with the pause button confused:) and the right trigger open the inventory...
Absolutely, of course I only use it at home, but for certain games like steredenn or wayward soul it's fantastic.
The touch controls are much smoother than Wayward Souls. Itemization is also more diverse. I see this as an RPG and WS as an action game.
I love this genre. Almost didn't grab this title because it looks so amateurish. Man was I wrong. Can't get enough of it. Anyone on the fence who likes action-rogue-likes... you won't be disappointed.
Are you kidding me?! # I thought the zoom level had decreased slightly, but I wasn't sure. I didn't for one moment think that changing a helmet would have that effect. That's pretty slick. # edit; I must have been blind....there it is right in the helmets stats....view #% .....doh.#
This game is pretty awesome. If you are on the fence let my random internet stranger opinion help sway you. This ones well worth it!
No, but it does use the whole screen. A couple of elements that get overlapped with the notch, but nothing that stops gameplay
Can I use one hand to play? I'm one handed. Can I tap to move? Hold in a direction to move? Auto combat / manual movement? Is there a joystick? I only have a right hand to play with. Id like to try this game but idk if I can play it since I lost my left hand
The game has a joystick on the left and three action buttons on the right. There is no tap to move option. There is no auto combat. I think it would be extremely hard to play one handed but I wont say impossible. That is because you can move the positions of both the joystick and the action buttons towards the center of the screen. To give you an idea I have an iPad Pro 12.9" and I was able to move the joystick and the action buttons to about three inches apart into the bottom centre of the screen. I was then able to play just using my right hand, but it was difficult for me to manoeuvre my fingers comfortably, mainly because I have arthritis. Depending how flexible you are with your one hand, and what device you are playing it on, it could well be possible, though I highly doubt the developer ever had the intention of the game being played one handed. Hope that somehow helps. #
Thank you for such a high quality response. I'm going to hold off on buying it and hope the developer makes an accessibility mode for ppl like me with one hand... It would take away the difficulty but I'd rather play something than nothing.. there's few games I can play compared to whats out there.
I have over 1000 iOS games, unfortunately not all installed due to space. # I mainly like tactical rpg's, a genre that in a lot of cases only needs one handed play. Also turn based rogue-likes are many times only in need of one hand to play. If you want to let me now what type of games you like and what device you have, I would be happy to give you a list of games I have and I think you could enjoy on iOS. If you haven't already, you might also try a Google for "one handed iOS games". So as not to hijack this thread if you want my help, can you PM me instead #
Oh yes, it is quite nice and difficult # I have been playing for some hours and still have not managed to kill the first boss, as well as dying many times in the first five levels, using different characters. Of coarse that may also be that I just sux at this game. #
