Has anyone seen Pocket Reference by medl mobile? Its a reference app that links more than 400 reference websites. There are some really good tech mobile friendly sites on there too. I think this is a really simple idea executed very well. Pocket reference was made by the developers of Problem Halved whose idea was developed by a trash collector from England.
10 out of 11 reviewers assigned a rating of 5 stars. Nearly all of these reviewers also assigned a 5 star rating to other apps released by this same seller (MEDL Mobile). I was thinking of purchasing this app - this observation made me change my mind.
yeah you would think that devs would learn....just here it looks like a loss of 3 sales due to the dubious review technique
Nothing wrong with being proud Hi I am Shannon, project Manager over here at MEDL Mobile. It makes me sad to read your harsh words against our company. Don't you think if you invested as much time and energy to make an app you would do everything in your power to make it successful. The app you are currently bashing was submitted by Tim Vinsant, he put a lot of work to put all these sites into one place. But you have brought up a valid point. I don't know why I haven't just been saying in my reviews that I am proud to have been a part of bringing these apps to the app store. If you have any other suggestions on how we can better serve you the user feel free to send them my way! [email protected] I'm always one my phone or around my computer, so send your thoughts my way!
Interesting that the OP--iphonegamelover--only posts about MEDL Mobile apps. Hasn't posted about a single game. Same old, same old...just another sneaky app developer trying to pose as an actual "iphone-game-lover." LOL. We're not that naive here, MEDL Mobile!
well if you spent more than 3 minutes looking at the site here you would have seen that dubious sales/marketing/ - lets be honest basically fraud does not come accross well here ! we are not actually knocking you app but due to this sort of practice no one here has even bothered to try it. What exactly is the problem to say initially / without being "found out" - we have have written this app, we think its very good so please try it and let us know what you think. Its basically that your whole way of promoting your app just comes across as dishonest - as you have read here people are not as 1. blind 2. stupid as you seem to either think or choose to ignore. And assuming that you use the internet you should know that trolling in any form is never appreciated anywhere. Anyway enough from me - i wish you luck with the app, and as i initially said it does look like a nice idea but i would recommend looking at your marketing technique - maybe send some review sites some promo codes and get some real reviews for example.
