So you can only get mystery parts when the prize for the global event is a full plane? Or can it be a plane piece prize?

 

Yes. Otherwise, all players would have plenty of Concorde planes and other stuff already.

I can't seem to get the mapple even though I have an ipad. Is it just iPhones that can get them?

 

They are only available on MAC iOS. iPad and iPhone users need to trade to obtain mapples.

edit2: i am having icloud sync issues so my os x version of pocket planes has only a local save file. i wonder... what happens, if i have two or more app versions open at the same time. will i receive two gifts then because my game center id is the same?
if anyone would also be interested in that, please pm me for the trade session - i'd use cheap plane parts for experimenting.
