Not sure, assuming you are using the app and not a webpage view, it should take you to the page with the last entry... Anyone else have any suggestions?
I've been looking at this forum from my phone so it prolly looks different than actual webpage. And I have mine configured so that newest posts show up on page 1. I vaguely recall a forum bug where the "last page" link (when you have it configured to show newest posts on last page) would take you a page number that was a few pages before the last page number. For example, if the last page number looks like it should be page 10, it would take you to maybe page 8 which would show the newest post. Hmmm ... Wonder of TA1 will rank #2 for Broome ...
Actually it does take you to the last page, but the bug is that it tells you there are 5 more pages, or fifty more posts than actually exist. How do you set it up where recent posts show up on the first page of thread?
Hey guys, how are you all doing? I haven't been playing for a while, but getting back into it, hopefully should work out nicely for Newman. Nice to see us playing again. @Harmoniamundi Did you figure out how to configure the forum to show new posts on page 1? I set that years ago, can't remember where and can't figure it out now on this crippled mobile version. Perhaps it is more evident on the actual website. Newman is a nice relaxed paced Global Wvent. I like the 15 to 30 minute turnaround time. One of the worst events (for me) is San Diego, with its quick turnaround time which means my game pauses nonstop while I'm trying to scroll through the job list. Let me see if I can figure out how to attach a screenshot of the TA1 leaderboard from my phone...
This is a weird global event, not sure if it's unique or not. Both C and P, but there are also lots of "non-event" P in virtually every city, but just random and not connected by a theme (like spy docs, or prison break jumpsuits). Am I missing something?
When I bought the event city, I only saw C jobs. So I assumed it was it was a C-only event. Now I am seeing what you see, blue and white P jobs in various cities. In the past, this only happened in one city (due to some other local event). Have never seen it like this before, in multiple cities simultaneously. Weird...
I think the game is breaking down. I'm sure it has wildly exceeded their expectations and updates and events might be getting cumbersome to maintain given all their new games. We should organize an effort to emulate this game, with permission naturally, so that it can be preserved for the connoisseur! Lots of people still play it, sure, but the IAP's can't be very much...still, I think games even as old as PP on the App Store can be revived with awesome new content. Right now, we aren't even being given a MP event...
Might have something to do with servers. NimbleBit aren't a big team, and they have to move on and develop of games to keep them afloat. Pocket Planes is 3 years old now and I am sure the way it has managed to stay afloat with a loyal fanbase pleases the developers allot. I am sure they will still dedicate time to keep this app running, but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't anymore content updates.
Most of their recent games didn't have had many content updates, maybe one or two max for NimbleQuest, Pocket Trains, TT Vegas... I'm afraid it's difficult without obvious IAP predatory tactics to maintain and update free games a lot. The money is on the new game, and you have to get them out quickly to still be on the radar of iOS gamers. Meaning less time for upgrades. The server side doesn't cost much I guess, but it's still sthg they have to monitor, and they're a small team. I can't see a lot of players still buying stuff in the old games. It's sad, because they have a huge and loyal player base. I would love to pay sthg for content update in PP. But as we all are flush with Bux and stuff after all these years, they would have to make people pay for the content directly and it doesn't bode well usually. So I paid for the customization in Capitals, I don't really care about it and wouldn't have done it without considering the hundreds of hours I spent playing their games. Pixel People had a content update a few weeks ago, I got so much currency that I blasted through it in 2 days without spending real $. And It surely had taken them a lot of time to do it.
I'm so glad the Global Event P jobs have returned to normal, showing just the blue P jobs. The previous two Global Events were more difficult with the mixed blue and white P jobs, making it more difficult to "grab & go". A Starship part is the prize for the current Global Event. I imagine we're all knee deep in Starship parts. It would be nice if they offered more interesting parts (or whole planes!). Still, I feel compelled to continue flinging my little planes.

I don't really play anymore, just a few bursts here and there. Many players from the early days still play regularly like Faye Valentine, HarmoniaMundi, Jmac, Coastcat And I got 68 plane slots, not sure who has the most though? it's hard to get much more as the max Bux exchange of 65k Bux gives you 2.1 billion coins, and my next slot is already in the 400 millions.
Well, than we probably played together back in 2012. I feel you, I started playing again, but it kinda pisses me off that I lost my game. I wasn't the best, but I had a good amount of sequoias, many different planes and so on. Starting all over again is kinda hard, but I think I did a good start this time
