Yeah....it's like Christmas. vicsark was saying he thought it was silly they forgot the Global event. I agree but kind of glad because I spent all my bux buying Mapples to replace my Kangeroos. Now I'm bux sitting with my Sequoias to have enough bux to move stuff around for the next event. To answer your question about airports....I guess a lot depends on what you want to do, so that means there is no right or wrong way to set up your empire. Faye Valentine has some great information in her signature. For me, what I have done is buy every class 3 airport and run 38 Sequoias with 1 Aeroeagle for my only class 2, Honolulu. I do this for 2 reasons. One, is I can quickly get to any Global Event anywhere in the world by repositioning my fleet. I just need to buy the event airport and insert either my Aeroeagles if it's a class 2 event or my Mapples if its a class 1 event. I feed the nearest class 3 airports to the event from all the other class 3 airports. At the end of the event, I sell the airport and, to quote Faye, rinse and repeat. The other reason is, if I am sitting out an event or sometimes I can do it while also doing an event, is I use all the class 3 airports and Sequoias to bux sit out of Mexico City. On a good day I can make 1,000 bux and several million coins. I do this to add to my landing slots. I have 39 slots now and think I can handle about 5 or 6 more. At that number and the time it takes the Sequoias to travel, I think I can cycle through the whole fleet and not have to wait to keep feeding events. Upon going into Flight Crew, I keep getting the message, "rank will update shortly" This has been going on for days now. But I admit, I havent played the game for about year.
Occasionally they forget to program more global events. I think they must program them 10 or 20 at a time, but then they run out before they Remember to program more. Also, the update could have messed up their software. It's not you, it's nimblebit lol
That's a fairly accurate statement, I know the non global events have extended out to about a week if you play PP without a wifi connection.
I officially am quitting Pocket Planes... LOL. It's too boring not having any global events... Trying Pocket Trains now so I don't die of boredom
Almost two days in, and no new global event. I'm hopeful for a reprieve, but perhaps Pocket Planes (much like Tiny Tower) has reached the end of its useful life.
It does not make sense that they would put out an update and then not keep up with the events. I would think these are not manually programmed anyway. Should be some kind of random generator with the occasional human intervention for special events tied to real world... I'm sure they will get it fixed...
My GC is 'cymonu' Also, do you have any concorde or c-130 hercules parts? Is there anything you need? I have one seaknight control.
