    HELP!

The market is very mean to me:

    1X Sequoia Body
    4X Sequoia Controls
    0X Sequoia Engine

Seriously! Does it cost Nimblebit much just to put one engine in the market...

Add me on GC. My name is the same as here. Also which variety of sequoia parts did you need?

I run almost only sequoias but I do have a couple if aerojets still running around. I have something like 29 plane slots but only run 24 at the moment.

I actually don't need anything... the market is just very uncooperative at the moment, I am up to 2X Body and 4X Controls LOL. I bet I will have 100 bodies and 600 controls and still no engine...
Meanwhile, Nimblebit seriously wants me to buy a Fogbuster...
    Fogbuster-M Controls 30 Bux
    Fogbuster-M Engine 30 Bux

    NEXT REFRESH...

    Fogbuster-M Contols 30 Bux
    Fogbuster-M Body 30 Bux

    NEXT REFRESH...

    5 (yes 5!) Fogbuster-M planes finished in a row....

    NEXT REFRESH...

    Fogbuster-M Controls 30 Bux
    Fogbuster-M Body 30 Bux

You get the idea... I WANT Sequoias! Not Fogbusters Market!

LOL. So it's not just me who loves Lagos and not Kinshasa?

Oh, and another thing. I'm level 23 right now and my stats:

    - Most Profitable (No tricks): 9,197 coins
    - Longest: 10,926 miles
    - Daily Revenue: 353,000 coins
    - 14 out of 51 airports (Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Delhi, Tehran, Cairo, Paris, London, Lagos, Rio, Lima, New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu)

Is this normal? I've seen the big guns rack up like 50,000 coins as most profitable or something?

The question: Should I purchase Tetras?

The Tetras aren't good planes, the profit it's less than Sequoia.

In other words, I should still be replacing my trusty Aeroeagles with Sequoias until Cyclones come? Or are Cyclones still speed-demon-profit-eater planes?

I keep both. The reason is the Sequoia can barely reach Lagos from my main moneymaker hub of Mexico City. If I'm shooting for a straight line route to South Asia (like Jakarta) I can make more profit by dog legging a short jump to Kinshasa then on to Southeast Asia.

Lorena is right about the Tetras. I don't fly them for that very reason.

I explained my rationale for the Sequoias over the Cyclones in an earlier post but many people fly them for the extra capacity and speed along with the slightly increased distance. I agree with them and after I get all the landing slots I want, I may convert to Cyclones eventually. I do have a few in the hanger for global events if I need the extra capacity to bump the TA1 team up a spot.

    Have fun flying :)

    Mmm Hmm!

Can a Sequoia fly from Kinshasa to Jakarta? I wanna do 2 independent routes but I can't until I can cross the Indian straight. Cleaned up my airports a little bit and closed Recife (I don't know why I actually opened it ).

I heard from Faye that she upgrades Cyclones to fly from Kinshasa to Jakarta, and since Cyclones have higher range, I think Sequoias can't...

The Sequoia will make it from Kinshasa to Jakarta but only if you upgrade it. The Seqoia cannot make it from Lagos to Jakarta even with the upgrade so that is why I keep both Lagos and Kinshasa for the straight shot into Mexico City.

The difference between a fully upgraded Sequoia and Cyclone is significant for those routes that are barely out of range. If I was running Cyclones, I would not need Kinshasa to get to Jakarta without a layover. I'm flying for maximum profit at the moment but when I don't need the money for landing slots and I start helping make TA1 consistently number 2, then I'll convert to Cyclones like Faye. She has a great strategy and is a higher level than me. I'm working to get to how she runs her airline :)

Gotta keep Lagos and Kinshasa. I was able to grind out enough coins and bux to buy another landing slot. Didn't have enough money to buy another Sequoia so brought a fully upgraded Cyclone out of the hanger. The Cyclone won't make the direct run from Mexico City to Kinshasa. I think I miscalculated the range.

Oh well.......I might shift my money hub from Mexico City to Lima although that will now add an extra leg to Honolulu.

I hate running on a shoestring budget ....LOL

LOL. I do feel sorry about that one jobber stuck in the middle of space stuff:p (In the first picture)

Second Picture: Does Lagos really need 3 Space Projects and Astronauts?

Third Picture: Hey astros, you gotta get on those black event planes!

Fourth Picture: Concorde ceremony in London! Caption that image!

Me too! I hate buying plane slots because I don't like not being able to buy anything.

Also, Cyclones run 295 MPH? That's not too bad considering that it caries 12 items and the Pearjet can only carry 5 and runs at 272 MPH (and I still could squeeze profit out of it). The worst plane so far is the Fogbuster, followed by the Bearclaw. My best planes so far are the Kangaroos, Mapples, Aeroeagles, and Sequoias (Except that my airports are not fully upgraded which means long waiting periods)

    My question(s):

    1) Is running Cyclones profitable (maybe 5,000-10,000 coins/trip?)

    2) Is running Cloudliners profitable (maybe 4,000-12,000 coins/trip?)

    3) Is it profitable to upgrade Sequoias to run from Kinshasa-Jakarta, Mexico City-Lagos, and Lima-Kinshasa? Or just wait for Cyclones?

    4) How many airports should I have (I have 14 currently because I added Jakarta and took away Honolulu

    5) Has there ever been a full Concorde event, complete with Mystery Parts? This event is only one part :(, but I still am going to try to earn a spot.

I don't know the answers but, until someone comes along who has been playing this longer than me, I'm finding a lot of answers in Faye Valentines signature. Under her tips heading is this little gem: "Explanation of Total Profit for Delivering Jobs

Hey everyone.. After having started back playing PP, I decided to switch crews to a smaller crew as you all seem to be still somewhat active on this forum... I like that I can more likely see names on the leader board. I will do what I can to help us maintain the #2 spot. Add me if you would, I like seeing more names with the scores.. My user is kickasslee.

Welcome :) (Although I'm a newbie in this forum and in pocket planes too)

C'mon! We want to win a Concorde part for all of our members!

You can add me if you want (GC in signature).

I'm running Aeroeagles to and from London as I don't want to mess up my Sequoias running from Lima and L.A. to Tokyo.

    Los Angeles closed! :(

Whoops... Five Sequoias are stranded: 2 are in L.A. and 3 fully loaded waiting to be sent to L.A.

    Good thing there isn't a 12 HR one:p

If you happen to have had Mexico City and if those 3 fully loaded planes were 25% bonus flight to LAX.......you could have sent them to Mexico City and terminated the flight there. When LAX reopened, then you could continue to LA and you would have made a huge bonus because the short flight still had the origin airport value.

That answers your earlier question on why you see some people with a huge profit amount on a single flight.

Ohhhh... So I guess you could send a Cloudliner with 25% bonus jobs to Tokyo and terminated the flight at Seoul, then flew to Tokyo, you would make 50 something thousand coins :)

I came over to touch arcade to test myself with and against the best players in the game (I'm level 46 running 20 sequoias and a couple aeroeagles just for fun) I've finished first a few times here, but only when I'm putting in an extraordinary effort. Currently, I have no idea how to match whoever is in first place in the London event.
