Thanks and good day to you BobbyH Would you like to trade anything for an x10 Mapple Pro? (Guys- please don't post that it's in the wrong forum, I'm just trying to test the trading thing) The reason why I asked is because I want to try to trade is to test to see if sending and recieving works. I tried to trade a Mapple for a Sequoia with another member and Pocket Planes spit out an error. Can you send a plane over here so I can test the receiving technology? I can't send anything but I can guarantee you that I will get you a Mapple when the system works. (P.S.: I sent an email to Nimblebit. I will post the response)
You can make money. I just made a run from Mexico City to Tokyo on a 25% bonus. I also gave 3 bux passengers a ride on the same flight. Total profit for the flight is 8,642 coins and 18 bux. This is the goal you work for as you build your airline. I'll try to add 2 pictures in one post, otherwise, I'll post twice
ok....I sent you a Pearjet because it's a level 14 plane and doesn't exceed your level. If you got this and not the Sequoia from someone else......that might be the error you got
Got the Pearjet I think the Sequoia just didn't register (You can send parts for plane above level) Do you have anything to do about the error? I can't send parts to ANYONE Update: This is the screenshot I get when I send parts:
Good to know planes can be sent above level. Who knows about the error.....iOS can be finicky. I see you ok on my GC. Don't worry about it. Have fun in the game. I'm just grinding out cash now since I want another parking slot. For the event, I'm just running a couple of sleds from Los Angeles since the sled makes it non-stop to Anchorage. Hopefully, I make minimum on this event # Have fun !!!!!!!!
The Aeroeagle/Pearjet Plane OK, I have a plan. It's called the Aeroeagle/Pearjet Plan. It'll work with Aeroeagle and Pearjet. First of all: Airports: All Class 3: FAR EAST: Seoul Beijing Shanghai Tokyo (You can have other airports, I have Shenyang, Chengdu, and Guangzhou) OCEANIA/PHILLIPENES: Manila Jakarta INDIA/IRAN Delhi and Karachi/Mumbai- as a backup in case one closes Tehran AFRICA Cairo (You can have an optional Class 2 near Cairo for a backup) Lagos Kinshasa (Again, for a backup) SOUTH AMERICA Rio De Janeiro Salo Paulo Buenos Aires (Again, for backup) Anyways, you can use Aeroeagles and Pearjets for this route: - If an airplane is in South America, it loads up along the route to Asia (Airplane in Rio, loads up with Seoul, Delhi, Tehran, off it goes) - If an airplane is in Asia, it loads up along the route to South America (Airplane in Tokyo, loads up with Tehran, Kinshasa, Buenos, off it goes) - If an airplane is somewhere in between, it loads up with shipments on one side (Example: Airplane in Tehran, it loads up with Seoul, Tokyo, Shenyang and off it goes; Example 2: Airplane in Delhi, it loads up with Rio, Salo Paulo, Buenos, and off it goes) That's the basic plan. If you recognize, it's a modified version of Pez's Sequoia plan. Also, Cebu closed and then Padang. Hopefully Jakarta doesn't close because I have no backup over there!
OK, sorry for double posting but I have my statistics reset. My passenger statistic has been reset to 0- now only at 51. Cargo is still displaying as 2,000+ Now I can't even tell if I need balance with passenger/cargo
What a great competition as of Monday morning Pacific Time (burned all my bux and coins adding a new slot) ...... now back to work ✈️✈️
This forum is unusually quiet... Any suggestions for me? I'm now Level 20 with: 1X Fogbuster-M (It sucks- what a waste of bux) 6X Aeroeagle-M (These are the backbone and my moneymakers) 1X Aeroeagle-P 2X Pearjet-M 1X Equinox-M 1X Equinox-M 1X Birchcraft-M First of all- I am going to purchase my 14th plane slot when I level to 22. Second of all, my Aeroeagles are making $4,000-$5,000 per flight- is that good for Lima>Tokyo/Seoul/Shanghai? Third of all (LOL- this is getting long ), are Fogbusters seriously this coin-hoggy? With all coin items loaded, making a L.A.>Tokyo trip with 9,000 coins- worth loaded of P/C, it gobbles up 8,000-8,500 in running fees so it only gives me a lousy 1,000 profit. Fourth of all, my airports: Lima Mexico City (Transition to Honolulu) Los Angeles (Transition to New York/Honolulu) New York (Gateway to the West) Rio De Janeiro Recife (So planes can fly straight through South America- cutting running fees) Lagos (As gateway to the East) London (As gateway to the East) Paris (As twin hub) Istanbul (As twin hub) Cairo (As twin hub) Delhi (As transition to Seoul/Shanghai/Tokyo) Seoul (As triple hub) Shanghai (As triple hub) Tokyo (As triple hub) Honolulu (To get 10 bux jobs and high-paying fares)- Fully Upgraded Quite hectic Everything is setup for Sequoias so grinding these 2 levels. I changed up the plan a little bit. -I have a triple-hub in Asia to get massive coin/bux jobs. Tokyo gets hit with 200 planes a day (I feel sorry for the air traffic controllers). -A transition point airport (Delhi) for everything to pass through -A twin-hub in the middle (Cairo and Istanbul) mostly as transition points. Istanbul guides into Europe and Cairo as to Africa -Another transition point airport (Lagos) for everything to pass through -A gateway airport (Recife) so planes can fly in a straight line from Lima across to Lagos -A "quadruple" hub at the end (Honolulu, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Lima) to get maximum coins -A transition point (New York) so Fogbuster can get across Atlantic from the north (And future Sequoia/Cyclone) -A twin-hub (London and Paris) for Europe Now for the tips! Just starting?: - Start In Asia. There are a ton of airports and the most Class 3's. - Buy a far-off (But not too far-off) Class 2 airport at the start- I bought Harbin which is far away from Sapporo If you just started out (Lvl 1-5): - The Class-1 airports seem tempting- but don't buy too many of them! Focus on purchasing Class 2s - You will probably make around 20,00-30,000 coins a day. That's not a lot. Don't worry... - Don't purchase Bearclaw/Griffon at the start. Save your bux and buy an Airvan at Lvl 5 (but not too many either) - Use the trusty snowman Pocket Planes helper:http://therustysnowman.com/proj/pocketplanes.php If you are in the beginner stage (Lvl 6-10): - At Lvl 6 save and earn/hoard as many bux as you can - Pool your bux at Lvl 7 for Kangaroos. They will be your friend until Aeroeagles (lvl 16) - At Lvl 8 you can purchase Mohawks with your remaining Bux (If you play on Android/Mac, Mapples are also available) - Lvl 10- Birchcraft FIRST LVL 2 PLANE! However, don't but 'em in service until you have ONLY Class 2/3 Airports - Throughout this stage, purchase Class 3s and rid your Class 1s - It depends, but I was earning 60,000-70,000 coins around this period If you are in the Early Teen stage (Lvl 10-15) - Equinoxes may be tempting, but don't buy more than 2-3. - Lvl 14: Pearjets. They are the largest planes in this stage and seem tempting, but don't buy more than 2-3. They cost a lot to fly. Even I, at Lvl 21, cannot squeeze more than 3,000 coins/flight with them. - You should be growing your airline and squeezing your way around the world. Use the TRS: Pocket Plane guide to help with purchasing airports. - At lvl 15 you should (again) be stockpiling bux for Aeroeagles If you are in the Late Teen stage (Lvl 15-19) - Lvl 16: Aeroeagles! WOOT! They are your best planes (slow, large range!)! Start buying them like a frenzy! I currently have 7 Aeroeagles in service. - After Lvl 16, you should save bux again and wait for Sequoias (Lvl 22) - At Lvl 18, my airline went from corner to corner of the world. It's very exciting to have that! Early Twenty Stafe (Lvl 20-25) - Fogbusters: First LVL 3 PLANE! However, they go super fast (312 mph), too fast for my liking. They cannot get more than 2,000-4,000 coins/trip which is bad considering that even the Pearjets can get 3,000 with only 5 items onboard (Fogbuster carries 8). Save your bux for Sequoias - Sequoias: WOOT! These are sloooow but they are great moneymakers. (Unlocked at Lvl 22) To be continued...
With that configuration, I should be seeing you on the leader board for this Global Event # Did you ever get your "sending planes" issue fixed with the developer? Bobby
The Shenyang one that started today? I still haven't bought Shenyang I lucked out though, it's close to Seoul and I don't have to waste bux sending planes and recommissioning others. NimbleBit hasn't replied yet- it's been 11 days Is this game even actively developed?
Shenyang is also a class three airport iirc. As to your strategy guide, it depends what your goals are. At the moment I'm trying to clean up my stuff and get rid of Mumbai and Jakarta and Beijing and Mexico City and lima and NYC and lax and London and Paris (am I the only one that wants to put the airport codes in?) and keep only Cairo and Istanbul and São Paulo and rio and Seoul and Shanghai. Six only for me.
Mmm hmm... I'm going to sell my transition airports that I don't need (Cairo, Delhi, and Recife, and maybe Mexico City) and only keep necessary ones one I switch all Sequoia+ My airplanes: 4X Sequoia-M 1X Fogbuster-M 6X Aeroeagle-M 2X Pearjet-M 1X Aeroeagle-P Pretty soon I am going to replace Pearjet with Sequoia and Aeroeagles (although I will keep one running nonstop from Honolulu to LA to collect huge bux jobs from Tokyo that have been layed-over from bigger planes. Another thing, I am close to unlocking the Tetra. Is it good? It seems like everything is bad about it: -Uneven M (4P/5C) -Fast (303 MPH) -Small Range (2300 vs 2700 for Sequoia) -Small Capacity (9 vs 10 for Sequoia) I should probably just wait until Cyclones, but what do you think?
I would keep Mexico City if you intend to keep the Sequoias. The reason is because an upgraded Sequoia will barely make the Mexico City - Lagos leg which is a great way to run Asia to the West Coast of the U.S. and Hawaii. Faye uses Cyclones with her class 3 airports where I use Sequoias. It's a trade off that works for both her and me. I'm at a lower level than Faye so I use the Sequoias to generate more profit so I can buy more landing slots to expand. The Cyclones carry 2 more than the Sequoia and goes around a 100 miles faster but the Sequoia can make over 1,000 more coins on identical routes. When I hit my goal, I may park the Sequoias and bring out the Cyclones. Depends on your end goal. In my case, I own all of the class 3 airports with 36 Sequoias. What this does is allow me to quickly get to any global event anywhere in the world. If the event is at a class 3 airport, I can make a killing with the Sequoias feeding all the class 3 airports. If the event is a class 1 or 2 airport, I simply buy that airport, establish the nearest class 3 as a hub, get the appropriate number of class 1 or 2 aircraft, and feed the hub with the Sequoias. If I choose to sit out an event, which I tend to do every other one in order to make money for my landing slot, then my network exists. There is no right or wrong way......just depends on your ultimate goal. My ultimate goal is a worldwide global airline that can react to any event immediately. Sort of what I did in RL # My only advice is have fun !!!!!!!!! Bobby
I actually don't upgrade any of my planes unless I have to (Before I have upgraded planes to make small distances). Also, congrats on your victory in Shenyang! Next event- Bangalore! Bobcat! No full plane though Also, whoa, 36 I only have 15 plane slots and 5 Sequoias... well I AM only at Level 24 Also, NimbleBit responded: Wow, that was helpful. I mean, I love Nimblebit and all, and I should've told you that I have already done that...
Hi Lorena, RL means Real Life. I spent most of my life routing aircraft so I just model Pocket Planes in the same way I used to dispatch real airplanes # Bobby
That's why I usually sit out every other global event because I can grind out enough bux and coins to pick up a new slot and airplane every 4-5 days. I'm shooting for 3 landing slots for every class 3 airport. Thanks for the congrats. It was fun. Someone else's turn for this event # Bobby
