MOFO SY9 and GS3 Finish in Bangalore The little sleepy town of TA1ville is revving up. It seems the newly refurbished SuperPenguin's Saloon...a TA1ville Icon, a place for conversation, conspiracies, fun and most of all the highest octane drinks around has brought many out off of their recliners and back into the cockpits. A Prison Break in Bangalore found many an airline owner converting passenger planes to those capable of holding suspicious cakes. Fortunately, since pilots filled up at SuperPenguin's Saloon, there were few mishaps with the cakes. DCW was off with a quick start and made it clear that he wanted to be a Hero! And a Hero he is. Just to remind you, delivering 10,000 jobs in a Class 3 event qualifies you as a Hero; doing it in a Class 2 makes you a Superhero; and if you pull it off in a Class 1 event, you become a Superduperhero. Meanwhile 'Zoo kept her eye on the numbers and on the Wily Whirler. After all, the results of the Golden Sequoia cup depended on it. More on that in a minute. The Wicked Wind kept blowing and made his way into 2nd delivering almost 7,000 jobs, okay exactly 6,853 jobs less than DCW. 'Zoo was happy to round out the podium. Faye was off in a park and paripatetic. A word MOFO's spell checker has great difficulty with, wanting to make it pathetic, parapet or paramedic. Faye was also distracted by other games *gasp.* There were some mystery finishers in Bangalore and while it doesn't matter for the 9th Silver Yoke nor the 3rd Golden Sequoia we will have new contests coming. Stand up and be recognized...or better yet get your photo finish posted! Bangalore Finish: 1. DCW 10,216 2. MindTornado 3363 3. Nalazoo 2090 4. Survinik - last known 1041 5. ? 6. Ktc 994 7. SuperPenguin 837 8. Faye 682 9. ? 10. Thisisina 680 The 9th Silver Yoke could have had a very different ending had Yitz made an apperance. Alas, the sweet icing of suspicious cakes could not lure him away from other activities. Without further ado, the winner of the 9th Silver Cup is the new MOFO Editor, the apple of Shep's eye and none other then Miss 'Zoo! That leaves Yitz taking the second position on the podium. And...although Faye took time off, she scored enough points to keep the Blowing Breeze abated firmly holding onto her 3rd place on the podium. Here we have the final results for the 9th Silver Yoke. 1. Nalazoo 108 (2, 93) 2. Yitz 103 (1, 103) 3. Faye 69 (4, 65) 4. MindTornado 68 (5, 50) 5. Harm 66 (3, 66) 6. Gus 41 (6, 41) 7. Ump 36 (7, 36) 8. dcw3h 33 (19, 8) 9. 4ndrew 30 (8, 30) 10. SuperPenguin 24 (12, 18) The conclusion of the 9th Silver Cup brings with it the conclusion of the 3rd Golden Sequoia Cup race. Although we reported it earlier, the results are now official and our charming 'Zoo has another trophy to add to her mantle. The hotly contested 2nd place turned out to be all air as the Timely Tornado took advantage of his slight lead over Faye to firmly secure his place in second, lea ing Faye to take the third place on the podium. Here are the final, unedited results for the 3rd Golden Seauoia Cup, as provided by our Minister of Mathematical Mysteries: 1. Zoo 326 (1, 311) WOOT WOOT!! 2. MT 300 (2, 282) 3. Faye 278 (3, 274) 4. Pope 150 (4, 150) 5. Yitz 148 (5, 148) 6. KTC 144 (6, 144) 7. jmac 136 (7, 136) 8. SP 119 (8, 113) 9. Gus 98 (9, 98) 10. 4ndrew 95 (10, 95) Let's take a look at where we stand with the Concorde League. Faye continues to add points making it more difficult for Gus, the Swarm Master, who has been exploring flying Blimps to make any headway. The Swarm Master has shown that he can make his presence known in a race if he chooses to. Will he make a move to catch Faye or will he watch over his shoulder to see if 'Zoo is going to catch him? Current Concorde standings: 1. Faye 741 (1, 737) 2. Gus 624 (2, 624) 3. Nalazoo 580 (3, 565) 4. SuperPenguin 400 (4, 400) 5. Ump 371 (5, 371) 6. North 367 (6, 367) 7. KTC 330 (7, 326) 8. MindTornado 300 (10, 282) 9. Vic 298 (8, 298) 10. Nokita 287 (9, 287) Boyz and Girlz, you'll just have to hang around to see how this unfolds. Cheers! M'Z
Hi all, new here. Been playing for about 2 weeks now, or maybe a month.. I've lost track playing this game! and lurking here for a few days.. Read several posts about the GC, but I really can't figure it out. Anyways, I'm level 22 right now. I think I have 13 or 14 planes, and I'm 31st in the crew with 450 jobs. I think that's my highest ranking thus far with TA, at least twice the jobs I've done ever!
Loved the write up Zoo. I think those that closed up shop during Merlion's disappearance did so a bit prematurely. Your recaps haven't missed a beat. The MOFO rankings are alive and well and the first race of the Silver Yoke 10 and the Golden Sequoia 4 is under way. The Concorde League only has 26 races left. New flingers are joining the ranks almost everyday. It would be great to see all the past Heroes back to compete and make the GS 4 ultra-competitive. Hell, it would even be nice to have Icon back to help keep this thread active.
Icon told me he was gone for good.. I just can't muster up the energy to compete like I used to.. 10,000 jobs used to be easy to do..
I know what you saying. I went all out for several months (I joined TA1 at the tail end of it), but I started to notice that I was neglecting other things. I'm in the middle of bux sitting with half of my planes to expand one more time. When I'm done, I am going to make a run at some of the TA1 records - hopefully before Pocket Trains comes out so there are at least a couple flingers around to see it. Thankfully Zoo picked up the torch and is keeping it interesting around here. Otherwise, TA1 would struggle to be a Top Ten crew.
Riyadh Finish Riyadh screenshots taken at 2min, results also entered into the TA1 spreadsheet. Next up... Easter Island. I have fond memories of doing Easter Island last time with blimps.
Finished in the worst place to be 11th Not bad for only having 2 SK and 5 Aeroeagles flying the event though
I finished 14th too Got the Iphone out for a play on Friday so was running two teams for a day. Maybe if I concentrated on just one game I might get into the top ten.
Looks like the the players with 5% upgraded Mapples will run away with this event. For me it's Kringle Kruisers and 10% upgraded blimps. At least the pace of Easter Island should be a little more relaxing.
Faye - thanks for getting the photo finish! This event is a Mapple owner's dream...alas, what if you don't have Mapples? Mowhawks, Kringle Kruisers and Blimps can make the journey from Lima to Easter Island.
I finished 19th, will not be doing Easter island, do not have anything close to it and not enough coins to buy anything or open slots at my level Someone should send me some spare Mappie's LOL Hopefully they will have an event with mappie's parts as a prize
I didn't fall asleep this time. Taking it easy on Easter Island, do not expect to make Top 10 (still on vacation). I won't even be around to get screenshots on Wednesday, I'll be at an amusement park that day. Have you guys noticed planes going missing from your hangar? I noticed something missing while pulling planes out of my hangar. I had placed them in sequentially so it is obvious one went missing. :-/
You Top 10'ers will be tough to catch. I've only one Blimp and two Mohawks making trips! Currently #19!
Yeah they really need to do an event with a full Mapple as a prize! Even if it's in a remote class 1 city...
