A little over five hours left and DCW3H has single handily put TA1 in second place posting 9292 jobs so far. Maybe Shep can find out his amazing strategy...

Four hours left to Bangalore and 41 TA1ers have delivered at least one job, 36 have delivered the 50 required for the prize, and with 23981 total jobs delivered that comes to an average of ~585 per.

I'm trying to hit 1,000 jobs, but its tough flying only M's. I didn't want to waste the bux to switch 'em out to C's.

I commissioned 31 class 3 cargo planes (16 Cloudliner, 10 Cyclone, 5 Sequoia) and put one in each class 3 city not named Bangalore. I have just been loading them up and flying them full of event jobs on non-stop round trips.
Also on Saturday I flew Christchurch-Sydney-Seoul-Tokyo (in real life) and so I had a ton of time sitting on planes and in airports with nothing to do but fling planes. I wanted to see if I could crack 10K.

For the Americans here, there's good news and bad news about the new event (which is an Air Museum Opening in Sapporo in Japan).

The good news is that there's a rare airplane part for the prize.
The bad news is that it's for a P40 Warhawk.

    How many blimps?

Staying up til 3am Friday night (trying to fix my computer problems) caught up with me cuz I fell asleep Saturday night and missed the event rollover. :( Woke up this morning to see the popup telling me I finished Bangalore in 8th place.

I haven't started the new event. I'm taking 2 weeks off with the family before school starts up, so very limited time to play games.

Ok so does anyone else have a screenshot of Bangalore's top ten finish?

If not, we can try and piece it together.

#10 = me. :) Squeaked in since Bangalore is one of my permanent airports, so I flung a few planes. Even though I'm not supposed to be doing that right now. Shhh! *looks around furtively*

    Interview with DCW

Reporter: This is Shep Hancock, live at the TA1ville airport where I'm trying to catch up with DCW.

Reporter: DCW, do you have a few minutes for a few quick questions?

DCW: Sure, Shep, I'd be glad to.

Reporter: DCW, congratlatioms on your achievement. Claiming the number one spot for a Class 1 event, that's no small feat. I see you dusting off a Sequoia recently converted for cargo only, what other planes did you enlist in this event?

DCW: Well, I've always flown cargo and passenger plains in pairs. Never been a fan of the mixed planes. I had just finished an expensive purchase of 32 Cloudliners for my new fleet, so I had 16 that were C only, plus a bunch of Cyclone-C and Sequoia-C laying in the hangar.

Reporter: Having the planes is just part of the strategy. Were your planes limited to flying Asian airspace, or did they expand into Africa, Oceania and Europe?

DCW: There was one plane assigned to each class 3 city other than Bangalore. So the effort was world wide. Even the Americas kicked in some suspicious cakes.

Reporter: With the next Global Event in Sapporo and your fleet already stationed there, can we expect to see you reaching for new heights and being a contender in the 10th Silver Yoke?

DCW: I can't say for certain. It's Monday and I am back home at my day job. Haven't touched my planes since cracking 10K. Many of them are languishing on the tarmac with cakes still rotting away in the cargo hold. Unfortunately, neither my boss nor my wife are as impressed with Pocket Planes achievements as your loyal viewers. But I'd love to try.

Reporter: Yes, not everyone shares the same passion for the tiny planes we dote over. Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing you in the air again soon.

Reporter: This is Shep Hancock with DCW, at the TA1ville airport.

Shep shakes DCW's hand and they begin to walk to the hangar. The camera follows them.

DCW: As a late-comer to TA1ville, I would just like to thank you, Mindtornado, Faye, and others for keeping it so interesting.

Reporter: Oh, thank you and thank you! As long as there are new pilots who join in the fun, then our little TA1ville will survive and evolve. Thanks again.

Shep heads off toward the crew truck thinking of who else he can interview. Maybe I'll head over to Penguin's. Ah, Penguin's...

Reporter: Hey, DCW! A few of us like to meet up at Penguin's. When you can, drop on by. See ya!

Does anyone else use this method still? Are job pools not diluted with that many airports?

I made it in at #4, with at least over 1040 jobs. My last screenshot with job numbers had me in fifth with 1026, and fourth had 1040. On my iPad so I can only upload one pic per post.

Here's the other screenshot. I had Bangalore open before the event so no clue how many jobs I ended up with.

Are you coming over for an interview or a complimentary drink, Shep?

Either way this old Pocket planes veteran and newly established saloon owner would be happy to oblige, tell tales of classic duels of days gone by, and maybe perhaps throw around a conspiracy or two.

Business at the saloon is a bit slow, as the town seems to be steadying its population decline to a nice group of competitive veterans and a few new passerbyes. Perhaps, the trains rumored to be just over the horizon will bring in some new faces.
