I wish I hadn't missed that battle between you two. I went back a few pages and read about it. EPIC... No way I could have kept up back then. Now, maybe I'd have an outside shot. I got here one event before Pope stepped away and he just toyed with me. Every time I would get within a couple hundred he kicked it into gear. A few updates later, he'd be up by several thousand. Rinse and repeat for 3 1/2 days.
Yay got my third mystery part of the event and its my second body Am advertising for the next 6 hours to boost my chances of finding parts but not seeing much. Admittedly my fleet is still way to small to really make a difference at the moment but less than a million XP to go then I can buy sequioas and start to build a proper bux/parts collecting fleet.
Hands down the difference between you and pope vs Gus and penguin is you two have the ability to do it for each and every event whereas Gus with roos and penguin with (mapples?) Can't.So yes, for a class 1 event penguin would also have to be in the mix. Although...this is a class 1...isn't it?
I never really noticed that. I think he swapped seats to take advantage of the AC outlet (only available in the 1st row) so he could charge his iPad.
It's not like mapples are all I use. I have a swarm of 30 but I have 45 slots and can adapt to any event lol. I just used to thrive on class 1 events.
I have an idea. Lets settle this. Swarm style vs conventional. Here's the deal. Penguin and Gus vs Pope and Tornado. I even have team names. Team Pen-us vs Team Pornado! Lets make it happen!
Can't? I have to disagree. I have posted 10,000 plus with my Roo swarm on a class 3 event. I also have a full hangar of cloud liners, cyclones and sequoias. It really is just a matter of pulling them out of the hangar. Plus 54 slots to fill so the swarm is big no matter what size plane I fly. I am guessing the event where I flew over 21,000 jobs has been forgotten. What is slowing me down now is it is summer and I just don't have the time to fly. Like this event. I probably won't fly too much more today and to be honest I don't have a problem getting passed (unless it is Faye ). With that happy flying to all!
Yeah."can't" is a bold term. I have a ton of sequoia/cloud/cyclone that can be used swarm style along with the mapples. I just keep the mapples out because they can be used for all events.
I'm pretty much done for this event, I'm off this week busy with family and don't have time to fling planes. I'm off to a 10:15am showing of Star Trek, so won't be getting any Leaderboard screenshots at the end of Ottawa. Anyhow, it wouldn't be any help for the MOFO rankings, not even in Top 10. Hey...my bad! At one time penguin you had gotten rid (or so you said) of everything but mapples. Gus your style is swarm. When you did the 21k, I bet it wasn't all roos. Penguin if either of you tried to compete with either of them in a class 2 or 3 setting numbers say it just wouldn't be competitive. You could swarm with mapples and Gus with roos, but if they use their feeders how could you compete. Frankly, it's kind of a moot debate because 3/4 of you have burnt out and all but disappeared. Really Faye or Zoo are probably the best here because they are always completive and always here. Tornado your burn out days are coming. Put, maybe already here since you aren't stringing any more back to back wins together.

Well, you called it. I don't know if I want another Sea Knight (I've got two on display in the Aberdeen Museum of Flight) but at least all my planes are in the area if I do decide I want another one.
I'm in. I need at least a day's notice but I'd love to participate in any Class. Also, you don't know me, but no matter how trashy the trash talk gets, it's all in good fun. It's just that I'm pretty sure The Pornados would crush Team Pen-us. EDIT: just read that Gus has 54 planes. Crush might not have been the best verb to use.
Not saying burnout won't happen, but I've got a few goals left: Gus' 21K jobs, 12K for a Class One event, and 11 wins in a row. And no offense to the last couple of event winners, but part of the reason the string stopped was because 18 of my 41 planes are bux sitting..
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I was driving by the Philadelphia airport just as this event began, which I'm taking as a sign that I should join the TA1 ranks. I certainly won't compete with the big boys and girls, but this could be fun!
So ... Does anybody have a screenshot of the Top 10 for Ottawa? I took a screenshot just before the movie started, but that was about 1.5 hrs before event end. Didn't get a closer one cuz it was 40 min after Ottawa ended by the time I walked out of the movie theater.
