    I will trade with you. I've gotten 9 bodies, 8 controls, and 5 engines so far today. So I can send you five right now.

    Edit - just saw all the responses. Let me know if you have any left over for moi...

    Anyone got any spare planes?

    Having recently reset my Pocket Planes, I've decided this time to take a more online approach to things, joining the touch arcade flight crew and taking part in events. However, I suffer in transatlantic routes, and the only route I can talk involves going from Belfast all the way down to Toronto, which can only be done with class one planes and takes ages. I'm planning to open New York for transatlantic, and so I was wondering if anyone with a few unused planes could donate some Sequoias or or something similar. My Game Center name is Tormielundak or The_King_Meep. Help would be very much appreciated. (I'm on IPhone btw)

    Ĩesky MOFOs

    After being pinballed around the world, from the Equatorial jungles of Ecuador to the wilds of the Eastern Vlad and back, the crew moved off to the more relaxed setting of Middle Europe. But even if Prague was a rather timid affair, it was one with a true battle for leadership. And not only that, but it was also a battle between two new stars in the TA1 firmament.

    In the end, it was Stogey Jerry who got the upper hand. Andrew G must have thought he was home free when Cigar man announced he would be stepping on a plane and would not only be smoke free but also offline for the last few hours. But alas for Andrew, there is such a thing as inflight internet service these days, and the Master of Stogeys invested in it.

    It was a wise investment. Leaving a smoke trail over most of Central Europe, our resident cigar expert beat Andrew by 800 jobs. The job counter stopped at 4,777, hence the use of the word 'timid.' Prague may be a Class 1 airport, but bear in mind it has no fewer than four Class 3s within Sea Knight reach, and five if you use Mapples or 'Roos. Not to mention a bunch of Class 2s, of which you hear very little these days.

    Our resident Whirlwind Man nipped at Andrew's heels for a while but finally ended up in third, with 49 jobs difference. Two handfuls of Sea Knights would've made a lot of difference!

    The three way fight at the top left Faye in the dust. She ended up in 4th, with 3,446 jobs. Ump and Ina followed at a distance, taking 5th and 6th, both with slightly over 2,000 jobs.

    Ktc had a less-than-average showing with 1,583 jobs in 7th. But behind him yours truly made an appearance in the points for a change. Merlion's showing in 8th was a personal best, not to mention the fact that these points were a looong time coming. (We get it - ed.) So your Editor-in-Chief is extremely proud of achieving no fewer than 1,266 hard earned jobs (*yawn* - ed.) which amounts to a doubling of Merlion's total points score. (Yes, yes, enough already! - ed.)

    Lorena aka XGarriga and Copper Metallic brought up the rear, claiming 9th and 10th. For Copper too it was along time ago since we'd last seen him - in Rome, to be precise. Copper set the Top Ten entry bar at 916 jobs, which is low but not unusual for a Class 1 event.

    The end result is another shake up of the 8th Silver Yoke, though:

    1st: Mindtornado, 91 points (2nd, 76);
    2nd: Faye, 79 (3rd, 67);
    3rd: Nalazoo, 76 (1st, 68);
    4th: 4ndrew_g, 63 (4th, 45);
    5th: Stogey Jerry, 49 (6th, 24)
    6th: Ktc, 32 incl. one 4th (5th, 26);
    7th: Ump, 32 incl. two 6ths (7th, 22);
    8th: Thisisina, 27 (8th, 19);
    9th: Icon, 14 (9th, 14);
    10th: Nokitano, 12 (10th, 12).

    Despite his 3rd place finish in Prague the Wily Whirlwind retakes the lead in the Cup. Faye's strong showing in 4th geth her back into the 2nd place she lost only one event ago. 'Zoo falls victim to the Mouse, and drops two places to 3rd. Will she make her comeback in Ottawa? Watch this space!

    Andrew G continues his march upwards. He's not gaining any places today, but he's edging ever closer to the podium. Another one to be watched. This goes two ways, though. Andrew may still be well ahead of Stogey Jerry, but Cigar Man has shown his hand and we now know what he's capable of. SY8 still has four races to go, and we have now five serious contenders for the 100 points that can be won.

    Ktc gives back the 5th place he gained last event and is now back in 6th. Ump and Ina score good points but remain in place; and in 9th and 10th Icon and Nokitano sit frozen in place.

    Gus and Boomer, in 11th and 12th with 11 and 8, are right behind but not scoring at the moment. Behind them none other than Merlion (cool it! - ed.), Kelly, Lorena, Copper and Zafir bring the total number of points scorers in SY8 to 17.

    Upwards and onwards, we go to the 3rd Golden Sequoia:

    1st: Mindtornado, 184 (1st, 169);
    2nd: Faye, 166 (3rd, 154);
    3rd: Nalazoo, 160 (2nd, 160);
    4th: Popehatz, 150 (4th, 150);
    5th: Jmac, 105 (5th, 105);
    6th: Ktc24, 97 (6th, 91);
    7th: Penguin, 73 (7th, 73);
    8th: XGarriga, 64 (8th, 62);
    9th: Andrew G, 63 (9th, 45);
    10th: Stogey Jerry, 54 (11th, 29).

    The Wily Whirler stays firmly in the lead and now holds both top positions again. Faye retakes third from 'Zoo, who not so long ago was the one who had both Cups in her sights. Ah yes, the MOFOs are a cruel place. One moment you're on top, and the next you've fallen of your pedestal because of a brief distraction in the Magic Kingdom. But SY3 still has a dozen races to go. 'Zoo has her work cut out for her!

    The Popester still sits in 4th, relatively unthreatened. But did he not promise he'd come back and sweep the ratings when there would be Mystery Parts? Only 19 points separate him from number one, so Top Three beware!

    Jmac, of whom we haven't heard for a while, sits 45 points behind in 5th. Ktc is now looking at only 8 points difference, so a 5th and 6th place swap could happen any moment.

    Penguin, in 7th with 73, too hasn't scored for a while. He is now asking to trade Mapples for Blimps, which is not a good sign, race-wise. Have we seen the last of him? Let's hope not. His Mapple swarm used to be a sight to behold.

    In 8th, 9th and 10th Lorena, Andrew and Stogey Jerry are still busy adding points to their names. Lorena in turn has to watch out for the latter two. Andrew sits one piffling point behind him, and Stogey Jerry another 9. We foresee more changes in the GS3 tail end before long.

    Anything happening in the Concorde League? let's see:

    1st: Faye Valentine, 629 (1st, 617);
    2nd: Gus, 537 1/3 (2nd, 537 1/3);
    3rd: Nalazoo, 414 1/3 (3rd, 414 1/3);
    4th: North, 366 (4th, 366);
    5th: Penguin, 360 1/3 (5th, 360 1/3);
    6th: Number1Ump, 320 (6th, 310);
    7th: Nokitano, 287 (7th, 287);
    8th: Ktc24, 283 (8th, 277);
    9th: Vic, 267 (8th, 267);
    10th: Snowbird, 240 (10th, 240).

    No changes in the lineup. Faye keeps adding to her score, making it ever more difficult for competitors to creep up from behind. It's a sight for sore eyes, to see how she's building up a long term winning position in the Cup Of All Cups.

    'Zoo still has a chance but can't afford too many more Mouse Holidays.

    Further down Ktc is gaining on Nokitano: the two are separated only by 4 points. Ktc may promote himself to 7th soon.

    Not shown: Mindtornado in 12th, with 184 points; and Popehatz in 14th, with 175. Both have the capacity to add points quickly and propel themselves to greater heights. Better hurry up, boys! We've got less than 40 races to go before the year ends. Go compete!

    Cheers,
    M.

    Outstanding recap Merlion!

    Does anyone have a screen shot of the top ten? I have four unknowns that I would like to add.

    Ack! I should've rephrased that. I thought you were on Android (I have no idea why now). I'm on an iPhone, I would've been able to make the trade with you. Did I just squander my chance to trade for Mapples? :(

    Two things:

    1 - How popular would an event be if the top prize was a full Concorde?
    2 - To Nimblebit: It's not a good idea to have a Bux job in New York going to LA which is of the same type as an event that is using NYC as a holding area. (I only discovered that when a plane landed in New York with a passenger on board.)

    Someone in the Top 10 should get a Leaderboard screenshot at the end of the Ottawa event. I'm off this week, spending time with family and am not sure where I'll be at noon on Wed, although I suspect hubby is planning to watch a movie at that time. :D

    I'm late to the party... I'd be interested in Mapples. I don't know how many blimps I have, prolly around 10 full blimps. I'm not mystery part sitting during the Ottawa event so prolly won't get many more parts.

    What does it look like up there? I haven't yet made it into range to see the bottom half. :(

    I wouldn't mind getting another Concorde. I only have one. I just love punting it back and forth between the far ends of my airports (LA to Seoul, at the moment) even though it is not a great money maker.

    What do you use your Concorde for?

    Nice! The Tornado vs. the Swarm Master. Wish I could make my way into the top 10 so I can have a ringside seat to the battle. :D

    Gus is back! You got your hands full now tornado, you wanted pope, but Gus is the original... Good luck!

    Imagine if that is pope in 3rd and ump in 4th and those two got close. Holy crap what a battle that would be.

    It would be nice to see a battle between, Gus, Pope, Tornado and myself..

    Not to toot my own horn but I still think the duel between the Popester and I is pretty easily the best one yet.. Even though I lost.

    I love how you sometimes see passengers swapping around. (Look at where the lumberjack sits in the two pictures.)
