I've never been very competitive on PP but now I'm starting to get into it, thx for all your help guys!
Thanks everyone for the great advice and entertaining forum. I am a newcomer, but I really like the competitive global events to keep the game interesting. I'm still trying to complete all the twelve hour local events, because I like the satisfying check marks. Once I am done with that I plan to dedicate my fleet entirely to the global events. I hope the spirit of competition and comraderie continues.
Hey hey! I quickly hopped on the PP bandwagon upon launch, joined #TA flight crew and had a blast last year. I even participated in the GoldRush in Magadan event and ended up 5th, the put down the game :/ Almost one year later, I picked it up again and continued where I left off, still without an efficient strategy, I managed to grab 7th in the WAS event. I read the forums last year, but not since then, but now as I'm having a bit more time for PP strategies, I decided to delve further in the rabbit hole. It really is mind-boggling that I've been on the wrong track the whole time Could someone give some insight into what I am doing really wrong? My fleet is lvl23, consisting of 6 Fogbusters (2C-2P-2M), 6 Pearjets (3C-3P) and two Mohawks for event purposes. My primary routes are LA -> Tokyo with CHI,NY,LON,IST,TEH,KAR,SHE,MAN as main target cities in between (now with the Zanzibar event I opened Kinsasha as well). My problem is really slow income, and also having to manage so many layovers: for example in NY a flight from London arrives with 8/8 to CHI and LA, but NY has 38/40 Layovers, so I have to drop-off 2, than grab 2, until the plane is fulled with flights to Asia. I use the C2 planes for money grabs and C3 planes only if they can be filled completely for 25% bonus, which is kind of rare. I recently read that for C2 AeroEagle and for C3 Sequoia should be preferred and Pearjet and Fogbuster should be avoided completely. My main concern was initially speed and thats why I chose these two planes. Should I completely ditch my fleet? Can anyone tell the difference between #TA and #TA1? Sorry for the long post and thanks for all the insights in advance GC Zafir47
Zafir- First off welcome! In my signature their are lots of different strategies about playing. The best I can tell you is read them. My personal favorite is Popehatz bux collection method. I would hanger your pearjets, dump your mohawks and fogbusters, and invest in aero and seq. A lot of people will suggest alot of the cities you currently have. If you decide to bux sit however, the goal is to try and accumulate as many bux as possible, so you are going to want to dump as many of the middle cities as you can. That way you will accumulate more bux jobs that are higher paying on the end points. Again, the best thing you can do is just click the link and read and find a strategy that works for you.
The main difference between TA and TA1 is that most of us are in the latter crew and a lot of us have others on GameCentre which means that - unlike TA - you're more likely to have a fully-named leader board. (There have also been a couple of occasions when it's been better to be in that one - there was an event a couple months or so ago when the top prize was part of a rare plane and those in crews 2-10 got the full plane.)
I have 0 p and c...all m planes, and I do pretty good. Some of the advice in there is old compared to strategies used now that are a lot more efficient.
I've tested every bux strategy on the list for at least a week each, except for Merlion's blimp strategy. Outside of that 1, Popehatz worked the best for me, and flyshers strategy the second best. The third which isn't listed were 2 of my own. Both were extremely efficient and unlike the ones listed here...but not as good as pope or flyshers. Since they apparently weren't unique enough they are not listed here. If you want though pm me and I'll share.
The idea is that P and C jobs appear in equal numbers(on average), so if you have less capacity for C jobs, then your C slots will max out sooner, and you'll be passing up perfectly good C jobs while waiting for more P jobs. I haven't figured out why some planes are imbalanced in that way. Maybe there really are more P jobs?
Ya because I have always found that there are more P jobs. There are odd times when there are more C jobs than P jobs but for me there are almost always more P jobs than C.
Which is a shame - I have no motivation to play this since I completed the Airpedia and have done all of the achievements.
