Press release As the MOFO Statesman & Herald's loyal readers have found out, this newspaper was for the first time in its existence hit by a strike. The M S & H got hit by a labour conflict, caused by the trade unions demanding that free Twinkies and Hohos would be distributed to the workers throughout office hours. The Management, unfortunately completely consisting of people who can't stand the sight of Twinkies and Hohos to begin with, and being principally opposed to them because of issues of animal exploitation anyway, flatly refused. The labour conflict was finally resolved by the Management's promise to roast Marshmallows at the end of each shift, causing the workers to go back to the presses. We are deeply sorry that, despite having served this community without fail from its very early days, we have been delinquent in delivering the 61st issue of the newspaper. As a token of gratefulness for the community's support in these tough times, we will distribute a double issue (#61/62) to TA1ers of every (and I mean every) persuasion, free of charge. Bangalore and Washington MOFOs With the events in Bangalore and Washington, the 7th Silver Yoke finally came to a grand finale. Top performers in Beantown were Mindtornado who's fast becoming the Michael Schumacher of MOFOs, scoring another Hero result with 16,783 jobs. He's followed by a strong showing from 'Zoo and Jmac; 4th-6th were taken by Scaramanga97+, aka the Man with the Golden Gun, Thisisina, and Dcw3h, all newcomers in the rankings; and the Top Ten was completed by some of the Usual Suspects in the form of ktc, faye, Chewbacca and Stogey Jerry. The entry ticket for Bangalore's Top Ten was 2,683, slightly below average for a Class 3 event. This gave us the following ranking with only one more race to go: 1st: Popehatz, 150 points and Champion (1st, 150); 2nd: Jmac, 90 (2nd, 75); 3rd: Faye, 75 (3rd, 71); 4th: Mindtornado, 68 (8th, 43); 5th: Nalazoo, 66 (7th, 48); 6th: Penguin, 63 (4th, 63); 7th: XGarriga, 62 (5th, 62); 8th: Ktc24, 57 (6th, 51); 9th: Nokitano, 30 (9th, 30); 10th: Vic, 25 (10th, 25). Jmac succesfully defends his second place and looks hell bent on keeping it. Mindtornado shoots up to 4th and is eyeing the podium. If he wins again, Jmac will have to score at least 8th place to become Runner-Up. In that case Faye would become 4th, so her podium place is in Tornado's hands. 'Zoo is doing well and regains 5th, and Penguin; Lorena aka XGarriga; and Ktc all drop two places to 6th-8th respectively. Nokitano and the flatlining Sheriff keep their places and round out the SY7 Top Ten. And then came Washington. Mindtornado took the place by storm and scored his second Superhero result in the process: 11,842 job. Nalazoo did her very best, realigned her airline, and took second with less than half the number of the Tornado's jobs. And Jmac completed the podium in third, another 2,000 jobs behind 'Zoo. The fight for third was fierce, as faye (4th) and the reborn Penguin (5th) came very close. Ktc, Suvinirk, Kelly and Sdo followed suit in 6th-9th. And at a little distance sat Dcw3h with 1,263 jobs, setting the entry ticket for the Top Ten lower than it's ever been for a Class 2 event. This resulted in the following end classification for SY7: 1st: Popehatz, 150 points and Champion (1st, 150); 2nd: Jmac, 105 (2nd, 90); 3rd: Mindtornado, 93 (4th, 68); 4th: Faye, 87 (3rd, 75); 5th: Nalazoo, 84 (5th, 66); 6th: Penguin, 73 (6th, 63); 7th: Ktc24, 65 (8th, 57); 8th: XGarriga, 62 (7th, 62); 9th: Nokitano, 30 (9th, 30); 10th: Vic, 25 (10th, 25). Jmac succesfully defended and won his 2nd place. Congrats, 'Mac! Behind him the inevitable happened. The Tornado flattened Faye's fleet (yes I'm actually quite proud of that bit of alliteration) and took 3rd by storm. Congrats, oh Psychic Cyclone! Faye ended up in 4th, 'Zoo defended 5th, the Penguin took 6th, Ktc did a quick end run for 7th, and Lorena took 8th. The flatliners, Nokitano and Sheriff Vic, hung on to 9th and 10th. Thus ended the clifhanger that was SY7 (save for the Championship itself, of course, which was won by the Pope long ago). Congratulations to all the winners and points scorers, and thanks to all others who contributed to the fun. See you all in SY8, a new chance to become Champion and a gain eternal fame! Be reminded that the SY7's end results are also the intermediate standings for the 3rd Golden Sequoia, our quarterly Cup. From next event onwards SY and GS will have different standings again. Faye is getting used to the Platinum Concorde's Captain's seat. Gus is now falling 24-odd points behind. There's an interesting lesson here. For a long time Gus sat unthreatened at the top. All he had to do is watch his pursuers (Faye) and make sure he scored some points if they came close. But you don't want to wait too long. If you do that they're upon you before you know if. You have to galvanise into action, something which you haven't been used to in a long time. And then, it turns out, it's too late. You can't prevent the pursuer from overtaking you. Especially if that pursuer is Faye the Flinger, of course. You sink back into your seat and let fate take its course. (Or Faye take her course, as it happens.) Now we'll see how Faye plays that game. So far she's doing fine. The only ones with the potential to come close soon are the Penguin, who has to do a bit of catching up himself, and 'Zoo (who seems to be at the top of her game). Both still have around 200 points to go, which is a lot of points if Faye keeps scoring. And how about the Celebrated Cyclone Man? 'Tornado is currently in 20th with 93 points. He'll need almost 20 consecutive wins if he wants to close the gap. And that's only if Faye sits on her hands during all that time. A hundred bux say she won't. Do we have a winner here? Who knew Twinkies played such an important part in TA society. Not only did it reopen old wounds, but it shut down the MUCH needed M S & H. 20 consecutive wins to come close to Faye in the prestigious M S & H standings??? That's 70 days of straight flinging... No way my stash of coins and bux lasts that long. The effort of the last three events put a Cloudliner sized dent in my supply. Guess I'll have to try serve both events and bux. I bet The Icon can tell us how well serving two masters will work out. The secular part part of me is reminded that a house divided against itself cannot stand. What to do... Bux sit or not. Boost or practice patience. Who said PP was a simple game?

I bet you're right. IT SUCKS! I'm doing it right now for this piece of garbage event. I've only flown cyclones from la, chi, ny, teh, bei, sheng, seo, and Tokyo. 2 cyclones in each city. Loaded bux and jobs for Z. Unloaded in lon, and Paris. Then flew every plane to Kinshasa fully loaded. Last night after the last event, I cashed in1000 bux and got a million coins. I Did nothing else but send the planes to Kinshasa. Coins went I woke up? 720k. Wish I would m have stuck with my seq. I never bled coins like this.
