Wow I don't read the forum for a couple of hours and suddenly it all explodes. Hopefully the dust has settled now, as Penquin said lets get back to talking Pocket Planes. A big thanks to AlanBBent for the Sequioa's you sent me. I can now start to set up a proper bux sitting operation and rake in the bux I need for when I can buy Sequioa's myself. Also need bux to buy planes for the wife as she has started playing. I've not got her onto the forums as yet so i'm having to relay info from the stratagy pages here when she asks for help.
Oh man. Dragonvale. It sucked me in at the beginning of the year and I have a dozen reasons to quit, but whenever I'm about to, I get a rare egg and I'm pumped for another week. I don't like how demanding it is; if you go a week without playing, you might miss out on a new dragon or not have enough time to try and get the monthly dragons. And when you DO want to play it, you do a few taps and there's nothing more you can do until you wait for a few hours. PP is a lot more flexible. All your planes are in the air? Buy another plane slot. If I want to play for twenty minutes and then put it down for a month, I can do that. The only thing I'd miss is any non-market planes from events, if I don't already have them from previous events or trades. If PP had a Kringle-Kruiser-esque limited plane for every single month, season, and holiday in the world, it would become Dragonvale. I've also been playing Tiny Tower. I just got the fastest elevator. That thing is DOPE.
Great read Nalazoo. I am getting preferential treatment as I reside 30 minutes from Reagan National Airport.
Anyone? I really want to get rid of Pocket Planes, but I also really need to get these plane parts back to the correct person.
Pearjets, while good for beginners, are not a long-term plane that those playing PPs for a long time would continue to use. There are a few new players who would use them. Or...just delete & move on. It's admirable that you're trying to get them back to the person who gave them to you. At this point, just send as a gift to anyone one your list & they will be surprised.
Too funny! Fried twinkies...mmm. I like how of all the words you COULD have used, you chose one pertaining to todays discussions. Nice touch
Clash of Clans is a strategy game with a community component. You build your village - adding defensive unit, resource collectors and storage units. You also train your troops which you'll use to attack other villages. By raiding other villages you steal resources (gold, elixir and dark elixir) which are then spent on the upgrades or further development of your troops. The community component - there's an in game chat! FUN! And...your clan mates can also donate troops to help defend your village. Strategy comes in the forms of attack strategy - what troops to build, how to attack, spells and so on. Defensive strategy includes how you build your village, where do you put walls, defensive units (cannons & so on) & other resource buildings plus your army camps. Resource usage strategies for where to spend your hard earned...or stolen....resources. All upgrades continue when you are in the game or not. There's so much more! On my iPhone it was too small...text too hard to read. On my iPad...awesome!!! Great graphics. Give it a try!
Actually in the case of Hostess, it was a combination of union and management hard heads that caused a lot of good guys to lose their jobs. The bosses got two rounds of consesions and a three year pay freeze, but stil took bonuses every year (even after the first bankruptcy). Then the union walked out, thinking they had some leverage and were promptly locked out and the company closed. Keep in mind the compunders were only making about fourteen bucks an hour while the average pay in an FDA regulated facility is about twenty, and if your fortunate enough to make drugs it can be a lot more. We ended up hiring a couple of their guys as temps and I hope we can find full time work for them. For the most part they just want to raise a family and contribute.
Jmac First thanks for the info...all I heard in the whole thing was union bad twinkies going away. (I live in the middle of redneckville usa) 2nd i would love to make 14/hr.
Thanks for the offer but I am Android not Iphone so you can't send them to me. I've got enough for now anyway and i'm only a couple of levels away from being able to buy them myself. Now just got to catch those bux, just worked out that I need 192 for each pair that I buy not including any upgrades! Just hoping for the next event being somewhere I can easily run to so I get loads of extra jobs
I don't think the math is right. 17x4=68...136 if you are referring to a p/c pair. I'll try and send you a few more in the next week, remind me in a few days...phasing them out shortly.
The mere thought of that makes me sick. I think I'm in the wrong job (I would love to make the best part of £9/hr).
