Alright, Level 16 now! Time to get some 6-seater Aeroeagles! But this is interesting. The Aeroeagle parts are 13 bucks each with a whole plane being 78 bucks, compared to 14 bucks each for parts and 79 bucks for a whole Pearjet. It has an extra seat and slightly higher range (2,000 miles), but is a bit slower (220 MPH versus 272 MPH for the Pearjet). Add to that the cost of operation due to increased weight, and I guess it makes some sense.
I need some help I'm currently level 11 and started out in western US. I have Los Angeles, kansas city, dallas, new orleans, chicago, newyork and charleston. I have 8 plane slots and the following planes 1 birchcraft-p 1 birchcraft-c 3 kangaroo- m 1 airvan- p 1 airvan-c 1 navigator-c I'm not sure what to do right now at this level. Can anyone help?
Im thinking of scraping all short range planes, closing in the Phillipines and Australia. Take that one plane from there, and have a 3 seater passenger, a three space cargo, and a mix. Good idea? The route connects as New Orleans - Detriot - Quebec - Goose Bay - Nuuk - Rekjavik - Belfast - Berlin. Closing Palu, Cairans, and Brisbane. Good idea?
hey I was wondering from level 10-14 should I save my bux for pearjets or get some birchcraft and equniox.
We should just rename this thread "The Pocket Planes Q&A", At your level, I might close Kansas City, New Orleans, and Charleston and use that money to help open some Class 2 airports such as perhaps Monterrey, Miami, or perhaps Seattle. I would also try to go for Honolulu if possible as that has brought many coins in my experience, and I know a Birchcraft can reach it from Los Angeles. In that regard, the replacement of your Airvans and Navigator would also be in order with more Kangaroos or Birchcraft, though I prefer the Birchcraft due to their increased speed and range. You might want to keep a Class 1 aircraft around though if you want to participate in global events that occur at Class 1 airports. Sounds good to me, you're going to need longer-range planes for a route like that anyway. Good luck! Level 10 to 14 is a pretty long span, so I would definitely invest in Birchcraft early on to boost your income and speed you to 14, but I wouldn't replace your whole fleet. I tend to replace half of my fleet with better planes, and then a new plane comes along though leveling, replace the other half that you didn't replace last time. Bux are pretty easy to obtain in this game if you prioritize their appearances in your routes, and they also contribute to level exp.
I don't really want to go through all 170 pages but I have one question Are there ever any jobs that will give you more than 1 bux or is it always one at a time. Im currently level 7
Later down the road you will get jobs that have more than 1 bux. I'm level 13 and I get jobs that have 4 bux. So the answer is yes.
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=139281 Yes, jobs that covers a longer distance gives you more bux, e.g. Boston - Seattle is 2.
Hello everyone I've been reading this thread for a few hours, and I guess it would be best to build more class 2/3 airports and buy class 2/3 airplanes. However, I'm only level 8 //facepalm. So far, I have one class 2 airport and one class 3 airport, and four class 1 airports. I was wondering, do you guys think I should just close the class 1 airports? I'm a little confused with all the different strategies and tips given, so any additional solid advice would be nice Thanks!
I was thinking the same-shut all my small side airports and focus in the larger ones and bigger planes At the mo im just moving ppl from the small airports in small planes to the bigger airports and kicking them out as a layover for the bigger planes bit of a faff
Oh, so it's a good idea? The only thing is that I'll have all my planes going between two airports, and I just thought that would be a little strange haha. What's this about layovers? I read a lot about them but I still don't get it ^^;; Once I tried to unload something and it said layover? Is it like relaying items from one plane to another?
Think of it like real life layovers. You ditch the passenger(s)/cargo at one airport, and pick it up with a different plane. It's useful for getting the bonuses from having all to one destination. For example, I have a person going to St Petersburg, one to Berlin, one to Stockholm. When I get to Berlin, there are two wanting to go to Petersburg. So I drop off the Stockholm fella in Berlin, making him a layover, then pick up the two Petersburg chaps for the 25% bonus. Later I have a plane with cargo for Stockholm , so I stop in Berlin, pick up the Stockholm layover, get the bonus and continue. I'm sure there are more efficient ways, but that's it in a nutshell. Your layovers don't expire.
Send it to a nearby airport and save as a layover. Might be interesting to see if you can still cash it in when you connect to Australia
Questions! 1) If you move 4x 1 Bux cargo items to a shared city, do you get 5 Bux? (or do you get 4?) 2) If you move 3x coin and 1x Bux to a shared city, do you get 1.25 Bux? (or do you get 1?) 3) Do you guys sell Bux for coins, or is that a bad idea? I'm finding I'm WAY shorter on cash than on green flutter-bys.
Also, if you don't mind waiting on the ground occasionally, you can "hold" jobs to keep them safe from the refresh. Again, to help maximize bonuses. Example: I have a 4-seater plane sitting in Taipei. There are only two passengers waiting, both to Tokyo. I can load those two passengers, and then wait for the jobs to refresh. The two I have on board won't poof away, and I might get lucky and pick up two more Tokyo fares. You can tell when your planes are partially full on the plane list screen. They'll show as "Boarding," so you know to check for fresh jobs. If the job refresh is coming sooner than I'd otherwise get that plane on the ground elsewhere, I'll wait and see if I can't fill the empty seats.
