That's strange - I played hockey when I was in school and I don't understand any of that (especially as, to me, Rangers is a football team in Glasgow). That *might* be because it was played on grass and not ice. *shrugs shoulders*

I've not heard a single plane take off or land since I started playing this game back 6 months ago. In fact I have no clue as to how to even turn the sound on.. I looked under settings on mobage and can find nothing. Maybe my phone settings are turned off for games? Anyone?

I am so embarrassed about this, but I think back in January, one of you sent me a private message and we added each other to Game Center. I was struggling in my Pocket Planes game, so you were generous enough to Gift me three parts for a really nice plane. PEARJET-M BODY PEARJET-M CONTROLS PEARJET-M ENGINE The problem is... I recently cleared out my entire Private Message inbox and outbox, and now I don't remember who it was that helped me out. The reason I want to get back in contact with them is because I am about to delete Pocket Planes, and I don't feel right deleting it without gifting those plane parts back to the person in question. Could the person that helped me out please PM me or reply to me in here so I know who it is and how I can gift the parts back to you?
Ok...so is it better to have feeder planes coming into New York and then Aeroeagles delivering to Washington...or...give up feeders and have all planes going direct to Washington? What's everyone's set up for Washington? Currently, I have Chicago, London, Paris, Istanbul, Cairo, Lagos, Kinsasha, Xi'an and Jakarta open as feeders. There are Cloudliners & Cyclones bringing event jobs to New York. Then Aeroeagles doing deliveries. Wondering if i should, switch to having only Aeroeagles flying from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Mexico City...possibly adding in London. Thoughts?
Zoo...I have feeders going from la, chi, rio sao, lon, and Paris. 1seqm each. I am also using 4aerom to drop in dc. So 10 planes going. The rest are bux sitting. So I'm only in 5th and have about 700 jobs. The leader has 4500ish and I'm betting they have 20 feeders and the rest aerom. Probably someone with 50+ planes. No way the swarm method workshere. Edit-it would work, but not to the tune of 4500 half way through. Impossible.
It kind of leaves one to wonder though when someone is trouncing the bejesus out of everyone this forum has to offer and is 4x the 2nd place competitor...yet 2 events ago was the one in second getting trounced by yet another person that just popped up and started destroying everyone this board had to offer. The only other person to do what these 2 have done is.....OAM. Could explain why the likes of Gus and Penguin are rarely here anymore.
Go to settings on the PP game menu next to bitbook and theres a tab to enable sounds, I would have it on myself but it clicks everytime you change plane and doesn't just play the plane noises.
I have 30 feeders from LA, CHI, and NM with 10 aerom. Buying and selling Quebec and Thunder Bay like crazy.
Whatever you're currently doing is obviously working out for you since you're #2 on the leader board. MindTornado is #1 with 4882 jobs. I have LA, NY, Cairo, Kinshasa, Lagos, London, Paris, Bangalore, Jakarta and Shanghai. I have Clouds, Cyclones and Sequoias bringing DC jobs to New York. 6 Aeroeagles flying between NY & DC. None of my planes are bux sitting. I'm too lazy to optimize my cities. The Little One is amused about the current event because our last vacation was in DC. I see THREE blank spots on my little corner of the leader board.
Have you figured out sound? On the iPhone, I just go to the Menu -> Settings, and then there's a little checkbox to toggle sound. I love the sound of the Sea Knight taking off. I turn of sound most of the time because I can hear it when I play PP while listening to music or audio book.
I'm still learning the little tricks of the game (like how to get a free refresh) thanks to this forum. I've read pages and pages and I think I'm a much more efficient player than I was two events ago. Don't want to be over confident, but I think I might have a shot at beating Pope if / when he overcomes his burnout.
