I've heard that's a good show. I have to check that out, being from Minnesota especially :)

Seriously, two recent updates. Finally a new plane or a new anything, and it's the placement of a Bux button

    Pocket Trains looking awesome though.

Woot! You're still in the Top 10! :D

Updated my PP app. Didn't notice any difference. Nice to know they're dedicated toward fixing the serious bugs. ;)

Very busy these days, little time to fling planes. Saturday is BFF day, gonna be out all day/night :D , may not even remember to take a screen shot just before midnight, and prolly won't even be in the Top 10 by then ... so someone else may need to post final job counts.

Just found out by trying... the X10 Mapple Pro unlocked for me at level 8 - as a full plane. Is it also available in parts?

Hi guys hope you don't mind me barging in :)

I am the mystery player in 8th place, I found this forum yesterday changed my flight crew and then broke my tablet so never posted as it was too hard with my ham fists on my phone, all good now I have my laptop so can 'speak' again.

It was a surprise to actually be ranking when I looked at the crew, it will probably be the only time too I have spent way too much time slinging planes today due to being pretty useless at anything else due to surgery yesterday on a broken elbow so I am going to enjoy it while it lasts and try and hold onto a top 10 finish.

I added myself to the bottom of the flight crew spreadsheet too.

It must be - I've got a part for it, despite note playing on anything other than my iPhone.

Hmm, I sent GC request and it shows you in my list, but your name isn't showing up on the leader board. Still shows unknown for #8 and #10. Are you sure it was the 'TouchArcade1' crew (note the 1 at the end)? Or maybe you joined the original 'TouchArcade' crew?

    In either case, happy slinging!

Yup, for sale as parts or full planes on Android or Mac. The nice thing about Mac is that you can buy the parts/complete plane and as long as you are signed into GC on the Mac, they show up on iOS devices connected to the same GC account. While I absolutely abhor playing PP on a laptop, I'll let it run while watching TV or surfing and catch all of the Mapple items from the market.

Other players on your GC list can send you Mapple parts as well, so it usually pays to keep an eye out for opportunities in the parts trading thread.

    55 planes in the air!
Using Jakarta as my global hub, I hear some complaints from NY passengers going to LA. Sorry guys, that's the way it goes NY>Cairo>Jakarta>Cairo>NY>LA :D

For top 10, I think you could seriously contend even at 26 slots using an event-only setup. Of course it also depends on the amount of time you have to waste filling planes ;) But for longer-term, I'd recommend more and to make sure you have enough parts/planes available.

For example - prior to my last bux turn-in, I was at 36 slots. After competing in Sydney, 36 didn't feel like enough. So I went back to bux-sitting and continued towards the numbers needed to get the 25% increase like what vic mentioned. But as that goal got closer, the thoughts crossed my mind "Do I have enough planes to effectively use 45 slots? Will I have enough coins to fund a lot of empty return trips and lots of buying/selling of airports around the world? What about when I need to buy new planes? And then need to upgrade them? And then need to pull them out of the hangar? And why leave it at an odd number like 45? How about an even 50?"

So I continued to sit and stockpile bux, knowing that if I turned in at that time, it would inevitably not be enough. At the same time, I started building more Cyclones to replace the Sequoia M fleet and buying more AeroEagle and Mapple parts. When it felt appropriate, Cyclones were upgraded for speed only. This, of course, slowed down the rate at which my bux grew. But the approach was with the idea that if my infrastructure was already in place *prior* to the turn-in, I would not need to spend much to get everything into place after purchasing the 50th slot.

As the bux kept flowing in and the magic number got closer (42000), I made a conscious effort to keep pushing past the mark. The event running at that time was at about the mid-way point and I had plenty of time to kill and lots of bux to gather. Eventually was able to hoard 47500, and turned in 43500. The 43500 mark was enough to buy slots 37-50, and left me with 67M coins. The remaining bux were used to field the bulk of the Cyclones not already in service and as a war-chest for future events.

In my experience, sitting can be boring and bothersome and a motivation killer. I wanted my last turn-in to be the *last* turn-in, so that I wouldn't feel forced back into it in the future. If there is a moral to the story, it's that you shouldn't rush a turn-in if you already have enough slots to properly bux-sit. In my experience, that's around 25-30. The longer you wait to turn in, the higher the value on each and every bux.

A quick thought on upgrading once you reach the higher levels: make sure your turn-in will provide a nice, healthy amount of coins. This won't require much in terms of bux, and will actually save you a ton by negating the need to upgrade planes with carbon fiber. At 67M coins, I could fly Concordes (at a loss) all day every day and still be able to play for a month of Sundays. In other words, when coins are flowing like water, don't buy anything with bux that can be mitigated by coins.

And for the last question, I think the lagginess will depend on your device. On my iPhone5, the game can get a little laggy at times. There are some reports of crashing above 50 slots so 50 is where I'll stay.

Hope all of this helps, and hope it not too late! Had meant to post this several days ago, but work and a friends wedding have kept me off the phone for a while.

At the rio event I focused all my planes on the event and I finished up at 11. It required boosting planes often and it was probably way to early for me to try because I am still recovering and building my bucks back up (probably spent about 500 on the event). I only had about 15-16 planes at the time so it is possible but I would recommend having a lot more.

{waving} Hi Suvinirk! Nice to see you again on the leader board ... And in the Top 10, nice! :)

Good news and bad news. Bad news is that BFF Day has been postponed, but good news is that I now have a little more time to fling planes for Port Hedland. Bad(ish) news is now I have to go visit the inlaws, but good news is I'll have some time to fling planes during the drive there (if I can get hubby to drive). :D

Thanks for the wave Faye. I had some time this week and saw that I might have a chance at the top 10, so I setup my planes and airports for the event and went at it. Not too bad for only 16 planes.

I'm using a few Sequoia's from local Class 3's to Jakarta, and Mapples to Port Hedland and back.

Hi, my GC name is PinkGeisha I need more friends that play this game. I've been slowly getting all my friends hooked on this game (I even got my mom). I give parts and I would like some friends that do the same. Right now I dont have much because Im only a level 7, hopefully I can add more people that are beginners like me too.
