There's no limit. You can drop that plane in any airport. I think I've had my whole fleet in a single airport at least once.
So I seem to be the only one actively trying to limit my number of airports. Right now, at level 12, my airports are: Tokyo Osaka (will close soon probably, to open another Class 3 farther West) Taipei Manila Singapore Bangkok I'm only running 7 planes, but they're all large capacity and long range My stats say I'm making 94k per day (big dip starting up Brisbane event). The trip bonuses make a huge difference, and the more airports you have the harder it is to get them. If your incoming jobs only have 4 airports to choose from, then more of them will cluster together. Has anyone been upgrading their airports at all? If so, do you notice a difference?
Help? Hey I'm new to pocket planes (got it on Monday) I have 8 planes so far and 8 airports. anyone wanna be friends on gc? BTW my GC is iRyanBro (Bro is short for my last name Bromsn)
Is it a bad idea to change Bux into coins? I'm level 8 and still only have 4 airports total. Saving up for rank 3, but it takes forever to get the cash.
What are some of the funnier stuff that you have to fly around? This makes me chuckle: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z298/tf58/iOS%20uploads/836d006c.jpg
I once had to fly around a police phone box that was titled time machine. My inner geek was happy that day.
Can someone explain to me the "local" events? I don't exactly know what they are called, but when I go to 'Events' and the check mark box, I see two events titled 'Music Festival' (which is 13/1000) and 'Money Transport' (5/1000). I don't know how they got there or how I did them, because I haven't noticed them before. What am I supposed to do for them? What is my prize if I do it 1000 times? Thanks!
When you close an airport does it open that spot up to buy a new airport? I'm currently maxed out on airports and quite aways from the next level up.
I have cities laid out in a line, so plane trips from one end to the other make a lot of profit, but they take hours. My class 1 planes collect people with high fares and drop them off in class 2/3 cities as layovers, to 'save' them, then when I have a full plane load (for the bonus) I send a plane off to deliver them all at once. As for planes, Kangaroos are my favourite out of the ones you've listed. They can land everywhere and carry 4 people/cargo. I don't think Mohawks offer much if any benefit over Kangaroos, but if I were you I'd buy any parts you see for Mohawks and Kangaroos and replace some of your smaller planes. Try and keep a balance between cargo and people.
Could u guys do me a favour and add me on gm? Username is Mohamed Moose. Thanks I really appreciate it.
If you look at the events list, you'll see all the local events that are going on currently, eg Zanzibar - Money Transport. When an event is going on, demand for that city will increase, and you'll see special jobs going to that city for the event. Every item you deliver will increase the counter by one, and the count will be preserved when the event finishes, ready for when the event reoccurs. Yes.
I have one more question: How do people get so much profit from just a single flight? I'm level 8 and only get about $60-$500 per flight, and it feels like I'm doing something wrong. I have the maximum number of airports and I wanted to know, how do people get thousands of dollars per flight? Is it the airports they use, the planes, the jobs, what is it??
It's the job bonuses. If you fill your plane with all jobs to the same place (preferably far away), you get 25% more money. Also, plane upgrades. The carbon fiber makes the flight cost less to operate, and the range allows you to make fewer stops (which also add to the flight cost). Costs go down, profits go up.
