Does anybody know who is ranked 1, 2, 4 and 10? Right now im ranked 7 with 550 jobs and im gonna stop with 750 jobs. At level 14 with 8 planeslots i need to use my planes to earn bux and coins and get up to level 22 so i can get my seq m fleet. If anybody wanna donate a seq m or plane part it would help me out alot.
"Well well well, what we do we have here?", I all hear you think. Yes, I know... I am sorry! Your double PP player has been a little inactive on the forum... So time for a little update since I have the time for it. Girlfriend needs iPad for her study. She is writing her graduating essay and uses the iPad as second screen. Next to that I found a job, not a pretty good one but work is work, I am voice picking orders for a lingerie brand. The working days are long and tough. These two combined are making sure that I have very limited time to play. Although I can play quite a lot on my phone in the evening when I am hanging around waiting for sleepysleepytime. I am almost lvl 20 got almost 1500 bux, 5 Kangaroo P, 1 Kang C, 1 SK, 4 Mapples and 2 Hercules. With this I can participate in / with every event but can not get higher than top 30. I think I keep this till I can build cloudliners (or do you advice Seq?) and build towards one of my chosen strategies. So thats a little update from me I have some plane parts lying around for trade so if anyone is interested: MOBAGE: I want/need: - 1 SK Engine - 1 Concorde Body - 2 Hercules Engines - 2 Hercules Controls I can offer: - 1 SK Controls - 1 SK Body - 1 Concorde Engine - 1 Concorde Controls - 2 Hercules Bodies Also I can offer full Mapples/Kangeroos instead of a part. Oh, I just reached lvl 20 on android!
New to the forum but loving Pocket Planes! Quick questions for all you PP vets out there: In regards to upgrading a plane, common sense would say reducing the weight of a cargo plane would be more beneficial than a passenger plane of the same model, but does anyone have experience with this in the game? Also, is it true that you can do airport upgrades on class 1 airports and after multiple upgrades turn it into a class 2? Thanks for your help guys!
I believe pax-only/cargo-only planes cost the same number of coins to fly to the same destination. Same goes for M-class planes. IOW, the weight reduction applies equally across all classes of planes. When you upgrade an airport, there is a popup that says you've increased the number of layover slots and the number of jobs. It also says that it does not upgrade the class of the airport.
Please help with Bux/coin conversion My final (?) bux turn-in is rapidly approaching and I'm getting rather anxious to end the bux-sitting and try my hand at another event. While my current setup is very effective, it's starting to feel stale and I've love to help upset the balance of the standings ;-) Even though I've been hoping hard for a blimp event, I've been a little relieved that it's delay has allowed the time I need to get the number of slots think I can make the most out of. To that end, I'm trying to figure out the optimal bux amount. Obviously this value needs to account for the slots I want to add, and leave enough bux/coins left over to switch over to swarm full-time. i.e. enough coins to run at a loss for quite a while, and maybe 1000-1500 bux to cover new planes (and appropriate upgrades) to fill those slots. The majority of the capital expense will be building planes using parts already purchased. I'll admit - I'm kind of bad with spreadsheets. I took a shot at using the one posted on Google docs, but could someone more familiar double-check for me? My current numbers: ~22M coins ~38500 bux 36 slots - need 50 slots The value I came up with was around 41,500 bux. This would put the real number at closer to 43k to cover expenses. Thanks for the help. Edit: I had previously used the calculator someone posted on the MIT Scratch site, but that is down until later today. Very useful and easy while it was up though!
Upgrades have the same effect on P and C planes. Doesn't matter. It just give you a 5% profit increase. As for upgrading the airports, each airport can be upgraded 3 times regardless of what class it is. All that does is add more jobs leaving that airport.
From now on when I'm playing Euchre and I sandbag someone into getting set the new term is "I Valentined them"
Wow, 1.6k pages. No wonder toucharcade is first in the leaderboards. Lol. Can anyone tell me which type of planes gain more revenue? P/C/M? I was thinking M but I'm not sure.
Man I saw the update and was pumped.. Kind of a let down to not get a new plane out of it. An update is a good sign though.. At least they're working on it.
Depends on your style of play. And on the scale of your operation. Generally M planes are the preferred option, as they're easier to fill. Also, people prefer the balanced ones such as Sequoia (5P 5C) or Cyclone (6P 6C) so you don't get all these layover imbalances. It's the reason why for instance the Cloudliner M (12P 5C) is less popular. It becomes different when your scale is so big that you can operate pairs of P and C planes. For instance, if you fly Cloudliners in pairs you effectively have 17P 17C planes in operation. Handy for moving large numbers of event jobs within a short time. Revenue generation btw is more dependent on speed and capacity than on P/C/M. Slower planes such as the ever-popular Sequoia are cheaper and generate more revenue per mile. Speedy high-capacity planes such as the Cyclone generate more revenue per hour of flight. Which one of these gets you more revenue in the end therefore depends on your style of play. Hope this helps. Cheers, M.
Yep. And it's good to see that they spend their resources wisely, having us kill time watching videos rather than giving us something useless like new planes, or a game upgrade. Cheers, M.
Well revenue wise they are the same as far as capabilities are concerned. But it is easiest to fill an M plane. So perhaps it would have a higher rate of profit in that regard.
That helps a lot! Thank you. I was looking to replace all four of the starter planes with mohawks(m). Seems like the best class one plane. Then I'll start getting class two planes. Should take a while before I reach the nearest event airport!
Actually, you could also consider Kangaroos. They may be a bit slower but that means they're cheaper to fly. Plus they have one more loading bay. Also, the M versions are balanced (2P 2C) whereas the Mohawks are not. Cheers, M.
